WORLD WEATHER WATCH – week 1

Also titled
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.
Remember how I promised to try out a BB’S WORLD WEATHER WATCH?

And I thought WEDNESDAY would be a great day for it…
‘Cause I am right into alliteration.
Yeah… not Wednesday anymore (not here at least) but that’s a minor detail right?
Today at Granite Glen it is cool and dry.
And dusty. Very, very dusty.
I washed the car in Big Town…
I do NOT know why I bother sometimes as red silt is spilling out of every orafice the Prado offers… at least the air-conditioning is keeping out the worst of it now!
So officially:
the temperature at 2pm is 21C … a smidge under 70F
A cool wind is keeping me in long sleeves,
after a chilly 5 C(41F) start to the day.
Chilly because we had no power (and no heating).
Again.
Fuse on power pole blown apparently.
But Ergon have visited this morning, waved a magic wand,
and I am once again of the 21st century.
So enough of my rueful ramblings
WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE AT YOUR PLACE?

C’mon… share!

City, country, temp, conditions, mood…

.

Make sure you check comments to see what Mother Nature is up to round the globe!
.
Oh, and it has come to my attention that some people CANNOT log into my site properly – if you can only see me on feeds and not my actual page, can you please let me know? Email bushbabeaustralia@gmail.com (email address corrected!).
Thanks!

I am in Maine it is 1:18 am and around 57 degrees fahrenheit. The weather was good today, actually harnessed up the horse and drove him for awhile. Getting sick of the rain, need to do some haying waiting for it to be dry enough!

  • Postcards and Coasters

Good question… It was probably 120 today or so? So hot you don't want to leave the house! Thank goodness I'm a flight attendant and get to fly to nicer weather. I was in SFO last weekend and will be in Idaho this coming weekend. Relief!!

    Saskatoon SK Canada – temperature currently (0032 hrs, July 23, 2009) 15C
Cloudy periods. 40 percent chance of showers early this evening with the risk of a thunderstorm. Low 15.
    😛
for me it's too darned warm and humid. it feels a whole lot warmer than 15 right now.

  • Debby

It is six am here, just getting light. The temperature is 63 degrees (17 degrees celcius) and it is raining like heck. Lucky me. I get to be out in it. Again. Sometimes, I just want to go back to bed.

  • Bragger

Sort of near Atlanta, Georgia. 72 degrees F. Cloudy, chance of showers. Great … I have a 6-hour drive ahead of me. 🙁

  • Heather

In southwestern Ontario. Rain again. A high of 19C. This is July, and we haven't really had any summer yet. Days are in high teens low 20's, and nights go down to 10 – 15. And we have had a LOT of rain. Cold, wet summer. Yuck.

  • Kelly

It's 9:00 a.m. in sunny south Arkansas. We had some much needed rain earlier in the week which dropped our triple digit (F) temps to nice highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. It's currently 77 (F). Humidity is tolerable.

Leaving my husband in charge of the troops while I have a "girls night" with my best friend (whom I only get to see every so often", so my mood is great!

  • Jenni

It's currently 76F and sunny southeast of Wichita, Kansas, USA. The high today should be around 91 which is very nice for July in Kansas. Stepping outside usually feels like stepping into an oven here. Kansas is too hot in the summer and almost too cold sometimes in the winter for someone who prefers moderate temps. The weather has been behaving remarkably well, though, and the last two days the high was only in the 80s. Thanks for including the pretty picture to liven up the weather report:o)

76.6F (24.8C)@ 8:04am w/ cloudy dark gray skies. We are supposed to get up to 97F (36 – 37C) today w/ a 40% chance of thunder showers. I'm in normally sunny southern Arizona. I'm actually not in a town more like a collection of gas station/bar/restaurant & a post office. The name is called Hereford & we Are on most bigger maps.

Oh & we're getting into the monsoon season which means that we're supposed to get lots & lots of rain until maybe the end of Aug beginning of Sept.

  • Pony Girl

Well, right now it is overcast, but these light clouds will burn off, I think it will be in the upper 80's today. Super hot, so I need to get out and see my horse before it becomes unbearable. No rain in sight, it is really becoming a problem around here! I never thought I'd actually want it to rain!!
I replied to your comment over in my comments (about photo resizing) but shoot me an email if you want more specifics! 😉

  • Junebug

Currently 75 F (24 C) in eastern Washington (state). Sunny with a slight breeze but we're supposed to hit 94 (35 C) today. We've been in the 90's all week!

  • d draper

At 2:45pm, it is 71degrees with overcast skies. Rain {wet stuff actually falling from the sky. Yea) in the forcast. Need, need, need the wet stuff to break a very loonngg drawnout drought. Las couple of weeks our temp was in triple digits so today is nice here on the great plains of Texas

  • Suzi

NW of Chicago, IL. 3 p.m. on Thursday 7/23/09. 80 degrees, sunny, lake breeze, thunderstorms on the way. We need rain. The ground is cracking.

  • Kate

Park City, UT, USA. 88F and very very very dry. It feels like an oven outside (to me). Not a cloud in the sky. It was around 58F this morning, felt great. It was a crazy rainy spring so i'm guess Mother Nature is making up for it by giving us a crazy hot summer. It sounds LOVELY in your neck of the woods!

  • Amber

Reno Nevada- Cloud cover in the am and a much cooler (though still warm) day today than it has been the past week. Sunny afternoon, highs in the mid 90s. Yay! 🙂

Bush Babe, can you send some of that cool weather this way please?

  • Bush Babe

Quick reply: isn't it funny how different people 'feel' different temps. For instance I feel our cold wind with 20 degrees (C) as chilly, Dykewife with her 15 degrees (C) in Canadian Summer feels warm, and 91 (F) is 'very nice' for Jenni in Kansas, but 88 (F) in Utah is 'like an oven' to Kate…

    Utterly fascinating…
    (I live a sheltered life!)
    🙂
    BB

PS KEEP EM COMING… LOVE IT!

  • Heather

Here in Montreal Québec it is 10pm, humid and 24C. Just finished yet another rain storm in this never ending rainy summer. Weather forecast for each of the next five days is, you guessed it, more rain.

No I am not tanned that is rust : -)

  • Mikey

Valley of the Sunstroke, Arizona, USA. 108 degrees something.. HOT. Dusty. Dry. Like living in an oven. Monsoon storms coming every night, sometimes with rain! Loving every second of being the equivalent of a human baked potato 🙂

    Hi BB,

In Jacksboro, Texas, just 100 miles northwest of Dallas, it is going to be 100 degrees or more for the next few days.

At 8:50am on July 24, 2009, Friday it is already 85… and humid.

It could be worse, I could be in Houston! LOL (Let's see if your Houston readers respond)

    Sincerely,
    Garlic Man

  • Kelsi

Here in Columbia MD it's 81 degrees, partly sunny, and generally nice. We actually got rain last night! Columbia is about 20 miles north of Washington DC.

  • A Novel Woman

Back in town for a few hours. The lake is cold, dark and rainy. The city is cool, dark and rainy.

Apparently the entire world is warmer than ever, except for CANADA which is unseasonably cold.

It's July. Should be 30C. It is currently 17C. Oh, and it's about to rain.

I think I should come to Oz. On the plus side, I watched a show featuring one of your own – Julia Morris. Oy, my abs hurt today.

Back to the lake and the land of no internet access…

  • Mary @ Parenthood

I'm a few days late but we've been having the same old weather all month.

Here in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada the weather is chilly and cloudy. Torrential rain on and off. Then the sun comes out for a few hours. Lather, rinse, repeat.

  • miss

Well its been about 13C around here but no rain sadly, we're not far from the snowy river. Bloody cold in the mornings though down to -5 yesterday mornin'.
