The Many Moods of Paris…

My sister Jeanie comes to visit here at Granite Glen occasionally – it’s always as hectic as anything, as she does some computer work for us as well as the social thing.  The looking after several kids thing also keeps us busy – her daughters come with her, with Salina always looking to have a horse ride and little Paris looking to, well, be with Mummy.

Now my darling niece Paris is a woman who owns a fair poker face.  I know she is not yet one, but she’s going to be unbeatable when she hits ‘Vegas, let me tell you.  Those smiles I coax from her are rare and precious.  It’s like an endless challenge for me.  I have no shame when it comes to breaking that solemn expression.  And I sometimes manage to tempt them out by peek-a-boo games behind the camera…

Want to see how?

How sad is this face?  Breaks my blinkin’ heart…

I think something tragic had happened – Mummy might have walked out of the room for three seconds…

Oh look – a crazy lady behind a camera!

A REAL SMILE!

(It’s like winning Lotto!)

And then… it’s gone.

As fleeting as snowflakes in a Queensland summer.

Lucky I have the photos to prove it happened.

(Jeanie, I shall keep these aside for those teenage years – and maybe the 21st?)

-oooooo-

Lots of love to my poker-faced Paris.
