1 of my favourite – pairs
Bay Lulic and the Orphan…
From a scrawny baby with little hope…
To a healthy, happy, well-adjusted steer (sorry, we took care of any bullish aspirations at branding time!).
Can you believe the difference in this calf?
And he does adore his adopted Mama…
Annoying the beejeezus out of her while she is trying to rest.
I know it’s probably a slightly weird thing to say, but I really identify with Bay Lulic sometimes.
Don’t you?
🙂

Hello Bushbabe that is so cute. I am in the middle of calving here and those Mothers sure do take a lot of love from their calves. When mine are hungry they bother their Mom’s till they get up. Thanks for sharing. B

See—when the grand Kids arrive you don’t mind being bothered ’cause you can just leave or have them leave when you have had enough
But one of those pictures could have been a qualifier for PW;s “love” contest.

Such a wonderful result from what could have been a tragedy. Good for the adoptive momma and what a bunch of in-your-face love there is.

Whenever I see Bella, it always makes me feel like the world is a good place.

What a fabulous follow-up story! I think you and Bay Lulic are a lot alike – except for the eye thing!!!

Awww! how very sweet. What a sweet cow she is and to be willing to accept a calf not her own…that’s great. A handsome little steer he is, too. A very happy pair.
Blessings!
