Easter bride…
A dear friend of mine got married over the weekend – a marvellous gathering of friends and family all crammed into a sweet little Sunshine Coast B&B on Easter Satuday…
Now I am normally NOT available to be photographer at weddings – I turn into a bit of a stress monster. But this friend asked me ages ago to be the ‘candid’ shooter and then had the main photographer pull out at the last minute… so (with the help of my talented sister-in-law) we stepped up and took the Forever Photos.
I didn’t vomit once. Save your applause. I am not proud of how I freak out over taking wedding photos. I’m normally a pretty calm person really. And this bride was REALLY cruisy. And we did okay in the end…
I try never to show the personal shots here unless I have express permission from the bride and groom… but I thought they wouldn’t mind a couple of the ‘arty farty’ shots being shared.
Man I fell in love with these sandals – the bridesmaids’ steep, suede footwear. I cannot wear heels any more (something about three knee reconstructions etc) but these were SO purty.
And check out the skirt of the bridal dress… it was sophisticated and feminine and simple and divine… just like the wearer!
Can you spot the vows being taken (in the reflection) as the bridal party stood pool-side?
And I indulged in some serious bokeh (the focus is on the white rose in the foreground if you are wondering what IS in focus!).
The cupcake mountain that was the wedding cake… cute AS!
And lastly (and a little bit naughtily as it DOES show a special little moment of our happy couple when they thought no-one was looking)…
I call this one: The Sepia Pash.

A couple more little posts coming up from our weekend at the beach.
Hope your Easter was wonderful too…

Great first peak. Shame about those knees (in more ways than one!!) should be illegal – bad knees. You need to chill out about weddings dear friend you always do an amazing job!

Uh-oh! You did SUCH a wowzer job! Now every bride will be calling. Can you say “NO”? Or will you just get swept up in the tornado?
On a side note. My BB calendar–my favorite thing on the wall by my desk–had NO April 23. Took a minute to figure out what happened to my Saturday. Hehe. I know, I know. I’ve helped produce calendars before. We never made it through without some kind of a glitch.

I know… plus it was Jeanie’s birthday date. I was very cranky when I saw it. Does that make it more of a collector’s item?

I’m so glad you got through that relatively stress-free! My daughter is a wedding photographer and I’ve heard all the tales of wedding stress from her side of the camera, but I don’t think she ever vomited. So happy you didn’t! The glimpse you’ve given us of the wedding is lovely…thanks!

I love the wedding cake!! The shoes are awfully cute, but too high for me at my age. Now my daughters would look great in them.
