I could tell you a long and involved story about this series of photos. Taken this morning at our back gate…
But really…
Sometimes …
I just need to shut up…
And let the photos…
Do the talkin’…

Wishing you lots of expressions of love, however you find it today!

I think that guy is a bull with Violet? Did he escape? Does that teeny fence he is in shot one hold him back? It looks teeny to me. 🙂 All your bulls seem very sweet is that typical? Sweet and bull don’t seem to go together does it? The only bulls I’ve seen here are the ones the milk farmers have for their cows and it seems they all have rings in their noses. The bulls not the farmers. Though you never know what you might see in NY.
Oh one more thing do the have horns, or does Mr. I remove them?

He is a lovely quiet fellow! Nice to see I am not the only one who wears rubbery thongs around the yard in snake season.

Bovine tongues always take me by surprise. The feel of them, I mean – not the taste. I’m a bit grossed out by the thought of eating one. (yuck)

Margie – it is indeed a bull. He’s only 13 months old but he is incredibly quiet. He will be a show bull this year.
Jodie – yes my ‘Japanese Riding Boots’ as my Dad calls thongs/flip flops.
Kelly – They are SO rough. Good exfoliators!! I don’t eat tongue either.

A very handsome and friendly bovine. It’s obvious that your critters and your kids have a great life.

That great beast standing so close to little Violet is such a great contrast. He seems to be enjoying the encounter just as much as she does.
Know what you should do this year? You should follow the bull as he is shown. We hear that you go to these shows, but what happens at them? Are there ‘winners’? Is it simply a matter of getting the bull out there where people can see him, enticing them to spend money on that bull’s…er…seed later? Or would it be a show that results in the sale of the bull? I’m just curious how that works. Enlighten us, oh wise one.

P.S. Confucious say “She who wears chinese riding boots into poddy with large hooved creatures ends up with a manky toe.”
