Big Smoke (and a PS)
Recently, we had an unexpected trip to the Big Smoke.
…
…
The kids, SSB and I enjoyed the chance to catch up with some (city-based) family and the change in scenery. And the chance to dress up like the city folk we used to be…
Hello trendy dude and dudette!
We also had to try to remember the rules and regulations and signs and signals that city life (and waiting for the City Cat) brings…
Stay behind the yellow line… or else!
.
And then we clambered aboard the catamaran-ferry and held onto our berets and drank in sights like this…
Hello Teneriffe – I remember you well!
And the city and the Story Bridge (there is a pub nestled under that bridge that could tell you a few SSB and BB stories!). But they are not for little ears…
…
…
And then we alighted (alit?) and walked past trendy places like this…
before choosing a spot to Do Coffee (and babycino’s and study the offerings of our capital city).
Hmmmm…
It’s also VERY trendy to order toast and honey at your slick city cafe… TLW finally recognised the slabs of grilled soda bread as ‘toast’ and deigned to eat. While taking in the passing parade with unblinking eyes…
…
We did a few other (unphotographed) things before packing our bags.
TLW and Dash said they had a good time, and like the “fairy” well enough. But there were no puppies there. Or ponies. Or baby bulls. So we came home.
The End

PS The tests came back: negative. Yay!

I’m glad that you got good results. 🙂
I have all my family there, mother and sisters. I haven’t been up for a while now. I also lived there when I was young, grades 2 to 8. 🙂

Tests? Health realted, no doubt? Since you’re apparently happy with those results, I’ll say “yay”, too!
Were tests related to Dash’s heart condition?
Nice pictures! Always good pictures. Always cute children!

Glad the tests were negative.
Dang. Your kids are cute. Dash reading the day tour book like a little man, and TLW’s little braids. *sigh* Really cute kids.

Thanks guys. Me not Dash. And yeah, kids had a blast but were delighted to get home too.

Hope the test that came back negative was NOT a pregnancy test, because you and SSB make really adorable babies….
Bush Babe (of Granite Glen)
Deb – SSB is on your side. I agree about the adorable babies (and if I can’t say that who can) but I also know my limits. And I’m still recovering from Dash’s complicated arrival (six years is not long enough!!)…
So no. Definitely. Not. Pregnant. (Can your PW, Ree, say the same??)

Sounds, and looks, like a good time was had by all 🙂

Why? What am I missing with PW? I haven’t read her for awhile, try to catch up all at once, but the site is still down. Anyways, think, BB, you could blog your outback pregnancy, and then go out to the bush to give birth and blog that too…man. I bet you’d really pull in the readers then. Really. Might want to consider it. In the interests of promoting your blog. And really, the cute kid pictures beat cute puppy pictures any day.
Just fodder for thought.

Brisbane!! My home town… I have heard about that pub beneath the bridge, lol.
I’m guessing you are located out Toowoomba way? In January this year, we relocated to tropical north Queensland. But I was born and bred in Brisbane.
