We had an outhouse when we were kids. The thing that I hated worst about it was that in the summer, there was always a flipping snake in there. Do you understand my phobias just a wee bit better now, BB?

I grew up with an outdoor dunny. One that had the pull chain and cistern up high on a stand. The chooks used to come in and watch us, and we’d chatter to them while doing out business. Twas not so cool at night dodging chook – e – poo though…
