The only thing I can think of that the houseyard and washing machine would have in common is that you empty your water with soap suds out there: on your garden? in a storage container? a tank? And what would the offspring have to do with it? Play and splash in it? Blow bubbles?
I have copied your picture to enlarge it and to make it smaller but I didn’t stand on my head to look at it. So haven’t got a clue!

Julie from Australia!!!!! Clever Julie. Apparently one has to be a self-confessed non-gardener in a dry continent to recognise spilled water-saving crystals plumped up by rain!!!! Thanks to my kids, it looks like spilled ice at one corner of my ‘garden’.
