Giving them the Willies
Came across this sight in the paddock, on the way to see the boys mustering this week…

It’s not an unusual thing really, but it tickles me every time I see it…

Very hard to take a nap with a OCD feathered friend flapping about on your face. And wiggling a big black ear just doesn’t seem to cut it in the bird-swatting department.

Oh I adore Willy Wagtails. 🙂
I saw them so often as a child in Redcliffe, in Brisbane. Now I can go years without seeing one here in Canberra.

There’s not a lot the poor dear can do. Smacking oneself in the head with a hoof would do damage. Not just to Willy.

So cute!! Um, so this might be a dumb question but does it wag it’s tail in a special way or something? It’s a ballsy little bird sitting right on her face. Love it!

Kate – willy wagtails are actually quite cute – v. small and they kind of twist on the spot ‘wagging’ their tails. They cannot seem to sit still. V. annoying on one’s head I would imagine!
