Mystery Photo… Dash-style!
Today’s mystery photo contains a curly question.
The subject of the photo is no mystery.
It’s Dash…
My little Wonderboy.
.
But the real mystery is in the look on his face.
.
What is this emotion?
.
And what has evoked it?
.
All shall be revealed tomorrow (Saturday, Oz-time*) 8pm.
But first I want to hear from you…go to the comments section and go your hardest my friends… as usual, winner is not necessarily the most accurate. (Because if I – of all people – go around rewarding accuracy over imagination, I would be the biggest hypocrite on the face of the earth! I’m such a Pisces sometimes. If you believe in that kind of thing!).
.
Winner gets to trawl the archives and choose their favourite snap. I’ll print up an 8×12″ copy and mail it to them.
.
As my Dad would say:
Good luck, good health and God Bless You!
(even when you haven’t sneezed!)

Dash was riding Rob Roy this morining when TLW came and sweetly asked, “Brudder, can I pwease get a turn?” To which Dash gallantly replied, “Okay. For a few minutes.” Delighted, TLW put aside her whip and, with a little assistance, mounted the rascally Rob Roy and began trotting off to help with the muster under way.
As Dash patiently watched little sister join the others herding the mob of cattle, he noticed an outcropping of rock neither TLW nor Rob Roy seemed to notice directly in the path of the horse and rider. It looked dangerous. Someone chould slip and have a nasty fall.
He winced. He sighed. He wondered. Will Rob Roy make it without a stumble? Will TLW notice in time to avoid a spill? Wait! What is Debby’s goanna doing in the picture? The silly lizzard is running toward Rob’s hind legs! He’s surely going to cause a slip on the rocks! Ooooooh! I can’t watch!
“Sister! Look out!”

I’m guessing he’s on Rob Roy so the look is certainly either frustration or intense concentration.
But the story goes a little something like this…
It’s polocrosse finals time again and Dash’s team is in the lead. Not letting size stand in the way he and Rob Roy are of course playing on a ‘normal’ team. It’s surprisingly easy to just zip under those tall horse to snag the ball (do they call it a ball?). Anyhoo, Dash waits in the backfield (?) for the winning shot to head his way and he is getting increasingly frustrated as all the adults with their stupid tall horses are just screwing things up. Blimey! (nice eh?) you silly buggers! (bad word?)Where did you learn to play polocrosse?!? (Insert picture) I’ll handle this. He takes off across the field. Zipping and Zagging and weaving and waving. He gets the ball, dodges, dashes, avoids a collision with an extremely gangly creature (scoff) and whacks the ball. SCORE!!!! Dash secures the win and the trophy and respect for short creatures everywhere. YEAH!!!! Wahoo!!!! Hip Hip Hooray!!! “Good job Dash. Now let’s get home, you have chores to do.” “Awe mom!”

Dash the amazing wonder boy does complicated calculus in his head to win scholastic competition at his local school. UPI picks up the story of this boy genius.
Either that, or he’s exasperated at his mother’s incomprehensible behavior when she discovers a dingo pelt in a cocoa can in the back of his bedroom cupboard.
One of the two.

Sister, sister, sister – I WILL bring prune juice over for him next time, I promise!!!

Oh. My. Goodness. Gracious. Me.
I love you guys. These are eye-wipingly funny. Why, why, why I do this to myself (having to choose one entry) is beyond me…
To give everyone a chance to get their entry in, I’ve slipped back the cut-off time to 8pm GG time. Why? Cause I’m a glutton for punishment and I have to go out for a few hours at noon today!! Yes, I do have a life (don’t snigger!). Go on, have a crack at it… you know you want to!!!
I’ll post up the winner (and entry) tonight.
🙂
