I’ll be missing…
As this posts, I shall be on the road…
Not this road though…
A big, fat bitumen one heading straight to Brisbane (also known to locals as Brissy/BrisVegas and Our Hometown). I love Brissy – after all, it was our home for a long time (almost two decades in my husband’s case!). I love the friends and family we left behind when we moved out bush. I love that they put up with us whizzing by during out too-short visits there.
And if I get a chance, I will do my level best to share some action from the Ekka. But that will depend on space in social engagements, a working laptop (we have the Ancient and Creaky brand) and me remembering all the necessary cables.
To keep you entertained, I am sharing a couple of things I will be missing.
Bottle trees, baby.
Bottle trees and red roads.
In the immortal words of my Mother:
‘Don’t say I never give you anything!‘

Your bottle trees are so different and magical. I love them.
Do you sell these? I’d like to buy the red road. Gorgeous.

Hi BB, Got a couple of questions for ya. In all of your red dirt road photos the road looks smooth and fast; don’t you have any da-da-da-da little humps or thump thump thump holes in your roads? second question is, what is the main use of lumber from bottle trees? Have a fun day and trip. Today in the valley of the great Ohio River – USA it is 90F+, thunder storms and way humid.

Love those bottle trees. I have done the reverse to you. Lived in the bush (with lots of bottle trees), then moved to Brisbane! Enjoy the Ekka.
