Bigger and bigger, wetter and wetter
We knew it was getting bigger.
We knew the rain was still falling.
We knew the view would be unlike anything we had ever seen before.
We had NO idea…
We have an infinity pool today – with a real view of the floodwaters behind!
The river has gone way beyond its banks…
The edges you can see here is about 40-50 metres in from the true edge of the river at its highest point.
This will mean way more to my family and those who have visited here in person…
But if you can imagine, I took THIS photo yesterday…
…standing in front of the tree now half-submerged directly above the empty hay-feeder in the shot below…
I would be standing in chest-deep water there today.
There is not much grazing going on …
But there is a lot of staring…Everything is in a state of sodden shock – animals don’t know where to stand. People just keep looking outside, gawping, taking photos and Facebooking or blogging them…
The dam wall is now three metres over and it’s still raining.
We aren’t worried about our houses going under – we are still a good 15-20 metres above the current flood levels and the dam wall is overflowing relieving some of the water. Who knows what will happen though – no-one’s ever seen THIS…

Wow, I have seen some big rains but these that you are having are beating those little drenchers all to blazes. The looks on the horses’ faces crack me up. Adding my Stay Safe to the others.

The weather is so strange right now, here in Florida we are having 3 nights of freezing temps. At 8pm it is below freezing and still dropping, The farmers stand to lose everything tonight.
