Quick check in…
It has been a crazy few days here – preparing for then doing a weekend of workshops (cattle-related business) and then 600+ km round trip for a series of meetings today. Thank goodness for people helping look after animals and kiddos. I have (just) managed to stay on top of washing and can still pick my way through the house to the bathroom and bedrooms. A few days at home is in order – to catch up! And you ALL know how I LOVE being lazy – I just need to schedule in a little more time for that particular hobby of mine!!
Anyway, I need to go to bed (that’s scheduled in about an hour ago) but thought I would share a VERY quick little series I snapped on the way out of our place this morning (on the way to my meetings).
Don’t tell anyone I slacked off and took these, okay??
Hope your weekend was a good one…
Feel free to report in comments.

If I had a big girl camera & knew how to use it, I’d send you through pics of the amazing natural hot springs here in Rotorua. You’d be in heaven over here BB!

Just getting up to the day you’ve already had. Looks like it’s gonna be a good one. Thanks for the soothing wakeup.

Very calm weekend celebrating my 54th with little fanfare. Saw my favorite toddler both days and that always brightens my spirits. First Father’s Day for younger bro’s family after his VERY recent fatal heart attack so I did a bunch of moral support for my nieces and Tony’s widow via text and FaceBook. Showed off the new kitchen paint and flooring to my neighbors and loved their reactions. (My reaction-why did it take us so long to do this improvement ?~!) Sky blue with slate-print linoleum; really good-looking and so crisp and clean with all newness.

Er. I wrote two papers, baked a batch of cinnamon rolls, read a cryptic short story again trying to make sense of it for class. Went to work. Nothing picture worthy, I’m afraid, which is why I come here. Thank you, ma’am!

Absolutely stunning photos, but aren’t yours always? Sorry I haven’t been commenting lately, but we’re now having major flooding all up and down the Missouri River. Communities and towns in several states have been evacuated, farmers’ fields are covered, etc. That’s the major focus for most of us these days, and you definitely know what that’s like. However, I’m 8 miles from the river and, although it’s over flood stage there, I feel pretty secure here in my apt. We all joke about building an ark!

Divine photos BB, I wish I could take pictures a tenth as good as you do.
