Life’s a beach…
Sharing quickly some snaps of our beach getaway (one night away for my BIL’s 50th) last weekend.
Amazing baby palm frond, unfurling itself by the kitchen window…
Delicious-looking berries on bush viewed from deck to the east…
Same berries with photographer getting all artsy and depth-of-fieldish towards the Pacific Ocean…
Where the Pacific Ocean meets Queensland. (Or one teensy piece of it anyway).
The Pacific Ocean, in fact, was a little bit surly.
And not only got all dumpy with swimmers, but threw some of these little gems in for good measure…
Blue-bottles.
OUCH!
Dash was astonished when his hand caught fire after playing with one of the beached jellies…
Slightly more careful in their beach activities were these two little princesses (Violet and her cousin – who could almost be her twin they are so close in age and attitude) …
Two princesses frolicking like dolphins in incredible glass-walled pool back at beach house.
You heard me.
It has a GLASS wall.
Endlessly groovy man…
Almost as groovy as the two princesses and two princes…
…who frolicked til their little eyes almost bled from chlorine exposure.
Isn’t THAT just the most romantic beach getaway story you ever did hear?
🙂

PS HAD to share this shot – for my BIL’s mate who wanted to be sure he showed his best side if I chose to blog him…
I call it ‘The Paparazzi Pose’. Heh.

Oh gosh that glass pool looks like great fun. The papparazzi pose? Filing that under “Why Didn’t I Thing of That? Poor Dash. Did you use meat tenderizer on his jelly fish sting? Breaks down the protein. Also effective on bee stings. Of course it doesn’t probably do squat if one of those super toxic Oz beasts bites ya.

I LOVE the glass pool wall very very cool.
Are those berries you describe as “Delicious-looking berries on bush” edible? What kind are they?
Poor Dash and his jelly fish sting! Hope he is all better now.
