Flipside 2
We have a new being in our lives. She arrived on the weekend – a little sooner perhaps than we had planned, after losing darling Milly last week.
But my cousin just happened to have a sweet little pup left in their litter, who sounded like she might fit the hole in Dash’s life.
So we popped out to check her out – and let me tell you, if you think you can visit a litter of puppies without losing your heart… you are deluded.
Violet lost hers several times. She’s quite dangerous to take anywhere near baby ANYthings. They get loved to pieces.
Loved to sleep…
Oh DEAR. Puppy paws.
Sorry. That was a bit cruel wasn’t it? (Admit it, there’s a puppy sized hole in your life right now, isn’t there?)
So we picked up Diamond (as she had already been christened) and took her home.
She immediately won much kudos for NOT throwing up (or worse) in the car on the 70km trip home.
And despite being severely outsized by her new canine playmate (anyone else notice how SIMILAR their markings are though – strange coincidence!)…
She soon realised Axel the Great Dane is completely harmless and then took over the deck of the house, proceeding to try out a seemingly endless array of cute poses…
Who? Me?
Yep. You.
Our Dash’s little Diamond is definitely helping heal some hearts round here.
Hope your ‘downside’s’ and your ‘flipsides’ are evening each other out in your life too.
♥
PS Thanks for sweet comments on last post about Bill. I shall pass on your messages to his family.

Oh, I love these photos. Take plenty of them because puppies don’t stay so little for very long at all. Adorable!

The new addition, Diamond, sure has “doe-like, please love me” eyes! Cute puppy, looks like a kelpie???
Will you be exhibiting at the Ekka???
I presume that if you have livestock on show or are competing you will have “free entry passes”. My God, they sure make it expensive for families to attend and it is so good for the city folk to get a whiff of the country, I think. I went last year, miserable day that it was. Only look at the livestock and then get the hell out of the place, sideshow alley doesn’t see me – ha ha. Anyhow I think I would look a bit silly on those “rides”.

Must. Not. Look. At. Puppy. Pictures. I’m feeling…strangely weak…uncontrollable urge to…hold puppyyyy….
My Lord. This never struck me as a dangerous place to venture before.
