Cal

A few years ago we met a young man. Well he was a kid really -a 14-year-old helping out at the cattle pavilions at Beef 2009 in Rockhampton.

THrough some twists of fate, his brother Lachlan came to work here at Granite Glen for a year and eventually, so did Cal.

He arrived as a very shy, quiet teenager with a mullet haircut which he wore with pride.

Eighteen months later he is leaving us to head of on a huge adventure… with a short-back-and-sides.

We are missing him already – our patient hard-working jackaroo who fitted into our family as easily as his brother did.

That’s right – Callum is dedicated bull rider, and is off to the USA on a rodeo scholarship.  I didn’t even know that was possible before meeting him.

We wish him safe travels and all the luck (and good management) in the world.  Go get ’em, cowboy!

We know one thing for sure: life will definitely be less colourful here!

🙂
