Poll: ROADS

I am using my ‘down time’ at the moment to sort through my calendar options for the 2015 edition.  I had meant to have it up and running much earlier, but recent events kinda got in the way.

And while I do have a couple of favourites earmarked to feature, I need some help choosing the images to make the cut.  All you need to do is make your choices in the poll at the bottom of this post – your two favourite images. Easy as!

Firstly, some ROADS… with so much travelling under my belt over the past 12 months – including the Blackall QWRN conference, getting kids to various sporting fixtures and now my treatment in the Big Smoke –  it’s time a country road (or two) got some wall space.

Middle of the road needed a “dead skunk”; it reminded me of the song. Pleased your ‘down time’ is producing lots of ‘up time’ for us. Great captures and yes, we need the roads in our calendar.

I would have gone for the Scrub Road, but it is a bit dark!!!
As a contract to the Bitumen and Big Sky Road. Just to show the difference in the area – arid to that mulga stuff!
Now just as a interest – as nothing has appeared – where are Violet’s ducks???
A la Orange or still swimming???
How is “Cayenne Pepper” getting on. Still all little bull???
    Any rain???
    Cheers
    Colin

The darkness is the charm of that scrub road Colin… it’s like a cave coming towards the light! Ducks not a l’orange. Bay’s Leaf’s boy very skippy and will ask for names shortly. No rain.

Ah c’mon Jeanie – Pray tell what is your favourite???
At least the ducks belonging to young Violet are not “A La Orange” and seems that they might be able without “snips” to the Gander bloke be saved! And good God – how they can breed!!!!
I had a Muscovy Drake in my time in PNG.
He attacked my hens and in a fury I threw an umbrella at him – went straight through him.
I was full of remorse, pulled out the umbrella and the bloody old fellow strutted off as if nothing had happened!
I think when I left PNG in 1969 and gave my increasing duck population to the locals, well if a feast was on, they got about 100 ducks! I should imagine they enjoyed their “Sing Song” feast. Ah yes! Funny days up there in those days – 1963/69. Not so funny these days!! ?????

Hoping this finds you in good spirits. My two favourites are bush scrub road followed closely by rear view road. Can’t wait to see the new calender when it is ready. Loving my September view from this years calender, but then I’m a sucker for a sunset picture. Have a great day!
