Ree ‘n’ Me…
I have to admit something… a confession if you like. I love The Pioneer Woman. OK, I don’t really know her, so I can’t really LOVE her, but I do love her style. Seeing as how most of you came to me from her, I don’t need to rabbit on and explain too much. About how funny she is, and talented behind a lens, and outrageous and talented (did I already say that?)…
…
Anyhoo, I have to share some of her influence on me, on you. (Did THAT make sense?). She has recently added a thing on her site about “actions” which are a part of Photoshop. Now I have used Photoshop for years, but never been properly taught so I have just muddled my way through it. But actions are a revelation. They are so amazing, they should be in the Book of Revelations (c’mon, I’m joking! I’m an Aussie and I’m allowed to be irreverant. God understands.).
…
Where was I? Oh yeah. Actions and Revelations. The Amazing Ree has offered Free Actions at her site, and I used them today. And I need your feedback:
which ones do you like the best:
This is the original:
And this is Quick Burn (Ree uses this a LOT):
This is B&W Beauty:
And this is B&W PW:
Which one did you like?
I’d really like an honest opinion
(but not on my grammar thanks David!)…
…
And before you go…
What can I possibly do to redeem this particular photo??
I’m thinking Soft and Faded just won’t cut it…
Please?
Please?
Anything?
Anyone!
TLW’s Mad Face…
it can clear a room in 10 seconds flat.

I had a whole big list of feedback in my head, but one look at that mad face and it’s all gone. Sorry! lol.
I liked b&w, too.

You know what? I actually like the original the best. I know that goes against the whole point of the post and all the actions, but I think the original is great. The colours are gorgeous and warm and soft, but not too fresh or too colourful.
Quick burn is a very close second.

I hate making decisions! I like them all. You just can’t go wrong with a cutie like TLW. Even her mad face is adorable.

I love these pictures! I really love all the Ree-Actions (hee hee) and I think each has a different feel to it. For this picture I think I like the B&W PW best as it’s softer than the other B&W and that suits this beautifully soft curly little thing.
I love the last picture! It’s redeemable completely on its own merit! :^D

I’m with Alison – I lost it all when I saw that last face! Too cute!

Soft and faded is probably my favorite, it just gives a beautiful look to her! Thanks for commenting btw, the wedding is moving forward (albeit slowly) and don’t worry, there will be photos… i’m a photoholic!

i liked the fresh and colourful.
as to the angry face, cropping it a bit closer in and maybe sharpening her eyes a bit. otherwise i think it’s a great photo.

I am afraid I vote for the original – and she is definitely an original, that one!

You lot are so easily distracted (how can one face cause so much distraction? Now you see what I deal with every day?)… thanks for the feedback on my photo messin’… let’s see what more havoc we can wreak!

Is that mad face thing genetic?

With a face like that? I have to admit that I, too, like them all. She’s a doll. I love the original. The “burn” one is cool. The soft b&W is pretty neat too. But the mad face!!!! Oh, my goodness! I’ve seen one of those on my little granddaughter. She’s ain’t messin’ around when that look grabs her features, either! So hard not to chuckle. Precious, precious.
