You know how bushies (and farmers) always complain about the weather?
It’s all:
‘When’s it gonna rain?’
And there’s ‘bin nothin’ in the gauge this month’…
How it’s too dry!
Well honey…
Colour me red and dusty and whingy!
For Pete’s sake Hughie…
Where’s the flamin’ rain, already??

Geez, I tried to send it all up there… but you know Mother Nature has a very warped sense of humour….

I'd be delighted to send you some from here…..a whole flipping weeks worth would make me happy. I could live without muck puddles in the barnyard for a long while!

But you do have beautiful dirt. It looks like Oklahoma red dirt.

ps- my mom is officially living in my town now- i gave her the prints yesterday that you sent for her and she was thrilled! she loved the bonus too. her internet still isn't hooked up at her new place so she has been out of blog world for about 2 weeks now- but i wanted to let you know how much she loved your pics.

Holy Texas woman!! That is a lot of dirt. And it is pretty but i'm guessing it stains something terrible eh? Do the kids end up with red boogers? 🙂

Your rain is over here in Southern Ontario. I wish it would go visit you instead!

It's as dry as a mother-in-law's bowl of kindness.
It's soooooo dry the Red Cross has launched a Wet Blanket Appeal.
It's so dry the Govt has announced a water pistol buy-back scheme.
It's bloody dry!

Also, thank you for your kind words about my driving incident….that was really nice of you…..
Cheers.

Yup, we have that same good old red dirt that turns to powder when it's really dry… We're not there yet, but every night we hope for rain with no lightning attached! So I'd share if I could, but we haven't had more than a few drops ourselves. If you get some, send it over when you're done!

We have all kinds of slow down signs along our gravel road….doesn't seem to slow people down one bit! Your dust is definitely a prettier color than ours. 🙂
