Something is amiss on my front page… and it’s driving me nuts. All images INSIDE are fine, but my fancy-smancy front page is glaringly devoid of photos… and seeing as how that’s the whole POINT of my blog (most of the time)… well… I am having a mini-freak-out. I’m currently blaming the emus I popped up for the new July banner. That might not be a reasonable or logical accusation, but everything seemed fine til those darned birds took over from the mustering scene up top there.
So while my brilliant blog bloke Conor works out what the HECK I have done to create this little conundrum (I don’t think he suspects the birds) …
:::::::::::::::::::::
UPDATE: ALL FIXED.
IT WAS VERY TECHNICAL.
(CLEARLY I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH SOLVING IT!!)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Anyway, I give you a sneak preview of my next ‘PROPER’ post … and a question.
What do you think this is?
And where do you think I found it? (You caught me. Two questions!)
Oh, what the hey… let’s make it one of my crazy contests! (If you’ve no idea what I am on about, check out this post and comments/entries. And this one. It’s fun. And in the infamous words of my father: ‘Whatever you do – don’t let the truth stand in the way of a good story‘.)
Whoever comes up with the best yarn (story, fairytale) about that THING on my finger, wins the print of their choice from this blog.
So get your thinking caps on, charge up the chardonnay/rum/red cordial (whatever your poison) and let it rip in the comments section. Enter as many times as you like. Help me pretend that my front page hasn’t fallen apart.
Isn’t that what friends are for?

No clue? Shrimp bits? Earwax? A cow’s earwax?
As for where or how you found it, I’m sure I don’t really want to speculate!

I know exactly what it is BushBabe, it’s Bush Baby Fairy Wing, these little wings are shed just prior to Bush Baby Fairies getting their “Big Bush Fairy” wings….(similar to when children lose their baby teeth). As to where you found it I’m not sure, maybe drifting through the wintery breeze at Granite Glen, or maybe behind Axel’s left ear….I do know however, that finding said little wings brings nothing but good luck to the ‘finder’…..so looks like you are in for a pleasant surprise.

Okay….I don’t think I can even begin to match that last wonderful tale of “Bush Babe Fairy Wings”!!
It looks like some sort of crystal to me. Maybe Rose Quartz??
As to where you found it? Geez…. maybe stabbed into your heel as you ran around the yard in your bare feet with your kiddos?
Sad guesses, I know, but I’m drawing a creative blank!

I think your kids have a winter cold and you were cleaning their nose and out popped this booger! Have a great day!

Oh. My. God. You decided to get a hamster for the kiddos, but you wanted to be sure it was a neutered hamster. You did your cattle thing and wrangled it into a teeny tiny corral made of toothpicks so you could do the deed. Unfortunately, since you spend more time behind the camera than “working” the beasts, you snipped its teeny tiny foot by mistake. Li’l Hammy ran off on three legs while you searched in vain for the missing foot. You finally found it speared on a toothpick, about to go into a roast. Whew! You do have some crazy adventures!!!

Well, BB I though that it WAS a wart on your chin, until you pulled it out by its root. But alas i am now sure that Elizabeth has solved the answer. Have a fun day!

IT WAS ONLY 3 DEGREES CELCIUS IN YOUR KITCHEN?!!!!! That is wicked cold. So, I’m thinking that you made your way to your kitchen this morning, shivering violently. And you cried just a little remembering how warm it was just a few weeks back. And then your little tears froze on your cheeks, and fell to the floor making little tinkly sounds, and you stopped to pick on up, and because you are a compulsive picture taker, you took a picture of one of your frozen tears and had us try to guess what we were looking at.

It’s a teeny, tiny chicken that fell out of a hole in it’s egg and now you’ve rescued it and are teaching it to fly.
