The Calendar Vote-off continues

Gosh – you were helpful with my last choices of calendar contenders… what the heck would I do without y’all?  I’d have to make decisions on my own, that’s what.  And I would probably put my head and the sand and start humming.  And then no-one would get a BB calendar.

Do you even know what I am rabbiting on about? (Check here if you are new to this blog and are wearing a puzzled expression at this point. It’s about a calendar of photos from this very blog – bush photos taken by an Aussie mum who’s in love with her part of the world).

Please note that I am leaving the first poll ( here) open until the end of the ‘polling period’ (when I feel like make the final decisions I guess – about a week or so?).

Are you ready for round two?

So I need you to vote (I am allowing two votes per person – but you have to choose both before you hit that ‘vote’ button in the poll at the end of this post) – which of the following shots do you think is a MUST HAVE for the 2011 Bush Babe calendar.

These are all road-and-view shots – I have a gazillion, but a fun fact is that FOUR of SIX images selected out below were taken on the same afternoon!  And all were shot as my battery slowly died… how crazy is that?  I was in a good on-the-edge, photo-taking mood that day…

The first of my four-in-a-row favourite road shots – taken after I spent an hour or so photographing bulls.  The clouds are so wonderfully grey and promising rain, but the afternoon light is highlighting the details from the central part of the formation.  And there is a red road.  Nuff said.

rockytree

The second of the ‘good photo afternoon’ series.  This is one of my favourite spots to take photos – the granite rocks and the tree that pushed up through them.  One tough little tree!  And those clouds again… Is there a name for a person who loves clouds? (Be nice!)

Taken just a couple of minutes and about a kilometre after the one above – I very nearly didn’t take this shot at all, thinking it was too late in the day. But I did anyway, and love the late-afternoon light wafting through the dust left by the Prado as I headed home.  It’s kind of ethereal and magical…

The last of my late March afternoon landscapes… I love the gentle matching sweeps of the grass, the horizon and matching cloud. And the mauve light.  Isn’t afternoon light something else?

Red, green and blue – the colours of my day! (And the titles of one of the very first posts ever done on this blog!).  It has bottle trees and I KNOW you lot love bottle trees. And did I mention the clouds? Fluff and whisp in this shot…

Another ‘bottle tree with red road’ image – taken about one kilometre from the photo above, and facing south instead of north.  It’s really stark and Mr Incredible loves this photo.  To me, it’s very… stark.  But then, so is Australia.  So perhaps he’s right?

Now  remember – you can vote for TWO of the choices listed here (cause I have a feeling I might not be able to choose less than that for the calendar from this category)…

And remember that I will include ALL commenters in the draw for free prints at the conclusion of these calendar polls.

So what are you waiting for? Vote away, my friend!
