A little bloggy bling
Hey there, my blog-land friends!
Just a quickie this morning to explain a couple of the badges (or ‘blog bling’) on my sidebar – as some of you who follow me on Facebook too might already know, I have been nominated for a Best Aussie Blogs 2013 award.
There is also a seperate section for ‘People’s Choice’ – this is where readers (that’s you) get to have their vote on their favourite Aussie blogs. There are pages and pages of nominations, but if you have time (and if you are so inclined) this blog is halfway down the first page.

I rarely write a post with any recognitions like this in mind – I do it simply because I need to say or share something, or (in this case) just answer a question I am asked many times. I am stoked to be included on sites like BlogHer (which provides a great international gathering of female bloggers and who I have been part of for a number of years now) and always humbled when my readers to take their precious time to read me, nominate, and vote for this wild, wacky bush blog.
(And it doesn’t get much wilder or wackier than these dudes…)
So that’s enough housekeeping. Thanks for bearing with me, and thanks for encouraging me.

I saw some sidebar ads about it, found your name and voted for you last week, Ta Da! I heard somewhere that only Aussies could vote in this contest but it accepted the vote so, HA! Gotter done, LOL. I think Ree is nominated this year (in the USA) so I’d better check that out. I think time to vote here is up in May also but not sure. Don’t do anything too exciting while I’m gone, BRB. Ha!
