What were the mice after?
Yesterday, I set a challenge for my delightful readers…
Where were the mice so keen to climb to?
Through stinky sneakers…
And smelly riding boots…
And God knows what else…
They chewed their blessed way through the bag SSB had hung up to keep away from the pups…
It was filled with odds and ends…
All of which the mice left alone.
Instead they chewed their way into…
a brand new box…
of…
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA…
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA…(Apologies to PETA and the RSPCA).
But I’ve been invaded by the dumbest mice in the world.

That is funny. If you’re going to have mice, thank goodness you’ve got dumb ones. Hey, is this something that happens every fall, the mice move in? It happens like that here. We use Decon on them, and usually they die outside, but once one died in my son’s rubber boot. It was well decomposed by the time he pulled them on. Another time, one died in the heater of his truck…he had to rip the thing all apart to get the mouse out, and even then, his truck smelled like death every time he turned the heater on. Things like that make you far less inclined to think fondly of Mickey.

maybe they’re depressed mice. i guess that serves as a lesson to people, don’t lay out the poison, hide it in a bag and the rodents will find it and kill themselves. you may have invented the perfect mouse trap.

Deb – is THAT what Decon is? Learn a new thing every day! One I learned a long time ago is to ALWAYS check your boots before you pull them on. Live toads aren;t much fun in this scenario either…
DW – suicidal? Gads, didn’t think of that. i prefer to think of them as dumb. It’s easier to dispose of the carcases that way. I don’t want smart suicidal mice racing around my home – could be the Middle East on a mini(mouse)-scale. Sorry…
Shirley – I think it works best when we pretend we aren’t looking!!! I had the tongs out picking up victims for ages the next day… Charming!
