And before any of you ask, YES it is deadly.
And YES it was in our garden.
And YES the children were safely flung up onto the pool table.
And NO I cannot tell you what happened next.

Let’s just say, there are plenty of his comrades still roaming the countryside! SSB saw eight (you heard me!) of these suckers in one day last week! Just in case you are wondering, I did a little Wikipedia search for you and here is what I found:

OMG! Snakes don’t bother me normally but that one DEFINITELY does! I grew up around rattlesnakes but at least they give a little warning that they are near….you’re a brave one! You have more than your fair share of poisonous snakes there in Australia don’t you?

Okey dokey… looking more closely at the photo, I am wondering if this might actually be a taipan rather than a brown… even worse!!! Silent and very deadly…
We were sitting about 2 metres from it having afternoon tea at the time, and I was the least brave person there!

ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! Oh my heck bb that is crazy. And I thought rattle snakes were bad! You are so brave to even let the kids outside…ever!! Maybe I don’t want to live in Australia 😉 there aren’t any snakes in man from snowy river 🙂 and that’s my dream!

Oh, that thing is tiny! HOLY SMOKES!! I would have ran away in fear, screaming all the way!! And I love what Wikipedia said, “avoid confrontation”. I want to see the human pick a fight with one of those snakes!! No thank you!! I would put off chorse too!!

Do your dogs run loose? And do they give you any warning? I think I’d want me a best friend dog who would keep his eyes open for just such a critter. And then bark his everloving head of. You also need a gun. What to borrow one of our forty-eleven?
