Bull-licks of Love

How close have you ever been to a bull?
Ever been THIS close??
Well… today is the day.
Ready?
Got your rubber gloves ready?
You’ll find out what I mean shortly!
Hello Boy!
This is our quietest Little Bull.
He was a weaner earlier this year, and has been around the house a lot.
We know him really, really well.
And affectionately call him….
D238.
(We’re saps like that!)

Hello D238. Wanna show the folks what kinda human love you like?

Mr Incredible and Dash will demonstrate.

You can begin under the chin. A good hard rub…

Then its important to hang onto your Hawaian shorts.
(But only if you are Dash and have no butt!)
Then scratch the dulap (loose skin under the neck).
Nice. And. Hard.
You can also scratch around the tummy.
Bulls like to be scratched where they cannot reach themselves.
It feels GOOOOOOOOD!!!
And to show their appreciation…
they like to sometimes …
Lick

Lick…

Lick…

Lick, lick, lick…

Slurp, lick…

Oh. Hello D150.

Good to see you too.

What’s that?
You wanna scratch too?
Well… uh…
Good Lord, D150!
Where are your table manners, boy?
So Dear Reader… got your rubber gloves ready?

No. No rubber gloves. I have a phobia about rubber gloves.

*walks off muttering “Jeepers, I never knew I had a phobia about rubber gloves before….”*

Funny how you learn things about yourself, isn’t it?

  • Kate

That tongue just fits perfectly in their noses! Blech! And i’m really really nervous about the rubber gloves. When PW talks about gloves it means prego testing. I don’t even want to think about what it means with bulls…

I must say you have some well mannered bulls! (well, other than the tongue in the nose thing). The only bulls I ever met you didn’t want to get to close to as they had a bad attitude. I LOVE the pic of Dash with his death grip on his shorts that’s a classic!:)

Reminds me of when we are feeding the sookies each year and they suck, suck, suck on your fingers. We hire in our bull each year so our kids are not allowed in the paddock with the bull. I love those photos.
It hasn’t stopped raining for 2 and half days here! Tanks are full, dams are full yay!
    Cheers

    wv – conship???

Deb – sorry to bring out ANOTHER phobia in you… goannas, rubber gloves… sheesh! Where will it end??

Linda (7msn) – cause they can! Cause they can… heh!

Kate – in this case, it was just to keep your fingers from being soaked with saliva. I’ll go into ‘the other’ soon – but I promise to give you fair warning!!

Gem – these guys get a lot of attention… but as I have said before, we don’t put up with too much… um, bull from our bulls! THe licking does take some getting used to!

DW – really? It’s actually kinda neat. Their tongues are really rough so its like a good loofah!! Heh. Did that send you over the edge??

Red (cannot possibly write all that out again!) – actually horses tongues and cows tongues are similar… maybe the latter are a bit rougher?

    🙂

I am a little bit of a country girl so this didn’t phase me a bit. I’ve even been licked a few times. Cool up close pictures. Really brings it to life for people who’ve never experienced it!

  • Bush Babe

Welcome Theresa and Kelly!!! Never had one in my lap yet, but the red boy is quite insistent at getting attention. It’s only a matter of time!

  • Laughing Orca Ranch

Boyeeeooo! What amazing photos with all that licking going on! lol!
    Looks really wet. LOL!

And the tongue in the nose thing. Ewww! 🙂

Thanks for sharing the fun with bulls.

Yeah, Diane just gets dog licks. I wouldn’t mind the cow licking if I didn’t see the tongue going in the nose first…eeeuuu. Diane’s Mom

Gee, I didn’t get the memo… PW and BB both writing about bulls on the same day… and now I’m wondering where my bull pics are… I had a few about a month ago…let’s see… got some here… http://blog.rimrockenglishshepherds.com/2009/03/28/even-though.aspx
We’ll move our bulls to the bull pasture next week, too late to coordinate with you… sigh. Maybe we should all try to post about the same thing on the same day… and see differences between Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Australia… think we can find more to join?
