Teaser… with a prize!

Something momentous has happened here at Granite Glen…
Something bigger than Ben Hur
And it took place almost within sight of the house,
just this morning.
What can it be?
I will tell later tonight (GG time).
Can you guess in the meantime?
Best answer wins a BB print.
Have fun!

I live in Canada so honestly I have no idea what momentous thing might have happened almost in sight of your house…maybe a wild animal being born? Ugh, that’s lame but I really have no idea, but am very curious!!

Santa was short a rain deer this year and so he stopped by to see if he could borrow Rob Roy for the night? Gerard got into the liquor cabinent and tied one on for the holidays and is now walking around in a Santa hat with his long shivery toenails clicking as he does his famous imitation of The Grinch that Stole Christmas? A kangaroo hopped out of the bush, took a look at Jeanie’s car, began to pull tools from his (her?) pouch
and presto change-o, he managed to pop the locks on her vehicle. You heard him exclaim as he hopped out of sight, “Merry Christmas to all, and hold Jeanie’s keys tight….”

    Really. I haven’t a clue….

Well, Debby has already taken my first guess – (Christmas shopping on the brain, “must be Santa”.. but these northern hemisphere folk don’t realise that Santa switches to six white boomers when he reaches Oz…

Alternatively, there was a bunyip sighting?

The prime minister wandered by? (Well, he IS a Queenslander…)…

    Um….

No good, I have no imagination. And I was just about to exclaim that it was already late enough tonight, when I realised that you are an hour behind me during summer!

A geyser gushed forth, spewing gold, silver and uranium 100 meters into the air. As the locals ran to get their buckets, the Somalian pirates roared up in Land Rovers and proceeded to hold the geyser ransom for $368 billion or a 100 acre parcel of sugar cane. After which, the prime minister when door to door taking donations for the ransom.

    That’s it, isn’t it?

    You have a new foal!
First the mare gave you a big ol pile of coal because you won’ let her swin in the crystal clear pool with the kids. Then she rolled and rolled creating a dust storm that slightly soiled the pool. Felling a bit badly about that she presented you with a lovely little foal…just keep it away from the pool it hasn’t had swimming lessons yet.

Hello Rose – and welcome!!! I am getting a lovely little collection of Canucks here… sweet.

Debby – oh, fabulous! Here was I thinking the ‘rain deer’ was a nice play on our need for some more precipitaion before Christmas?? Ah well. Lovely segue into Jeanie’s drama. Bonus points!

Trace – a couple of great starts there. Six white boomers. Oh how I remember singing that chorus in hot Christmas costumes as kids… memories.

bigSIS – first comment? Welcome!!! And fabulous first effort at my nutty comps… cannot begin to imagine our PM getting his lily white hands sweaty knocking on our doors… but the thought intrigues.

Girls, I have put another hint up tonight. Too tired to finish the pics up so answer tomorrow sometime (when working in the yards permits!).

    🙂

Hi there! New to this blog — I found you via PW.

I think…. hmmm there was a horse sale on the road near your place (OK like that would ever happen) and you were able to find the horse of your dreams.
