Montage #1 – the equestrian set

The images for my very first Bush Babe montage
were cleverly selected by Kate (from Utah Zen) …
What do you think?
I waited until the parcel finally negotiated the Australian and American postage systems and was safely with Kate, before sharing it with you. It took almost four weeks (why, I do not know!) so I was utterly relieved when she emailed me it arrived OK.

I shall add it to the image list here… I’ll keep adding images as they prove popular with visitors and those purchasing prints for their walls.

If anyone else has any clever ideas for a set of photos from this site, I would love to hear your selection. Or even what you’d like to see more pics of.

Thanks!

BB

PS More foal photos coming soon!

I love it, it’s great!! I love the color of the border, too.
I am still looking for the perfect frames for my BB prints! I saw some wooden ones on the wall of a theater the other day….they were way too big and obviously not available (unless I swiped ’em off the wall and stuck them under my coat, LOL!) But they were the western “look” I was looking for!

I can’t pick anything from your shots. Seriously, nothing about any of them appeals to me anymore than any other thing. They are all…. perfect. You are so talented.

It was very hard to choose just one photo as my prize. Eventually I did and then I ordered two more!!! *sigh* It was such a tough job.
Now I can’t wait till they arrive.
I must say that I love this montage. Just gorgeous and I’m not really a horsey person – don’t get me wrong – they are beautiful but they are also big and scary!

Beautiful, BB. Some of my favorite frames are made from old barn wood, decorated with different old rusty things like baling wire, barbed wire, conches, stars, etc. I had those old-timey pictures done of my kids years ago and asked my husband to to make the frames and I adorned them. I LOVE them. My kids keep offering me more and more money to dispose of the pics, maybe I will replace with Granite Glen bliss.

Another good idea for a montage might be different times of the day shots of the exact same spot. Sunrise, full sun, sunset, full moon. Just a thought.

    Thanks all for kind comments…

Jayne – I’m not sure about making a fortune. I’m just happy to cover costs of printing and postage!! But thanks for the vote of confidence… I’m blushing!

Sabra – great idea. Except I would have to REMEMBER to be be in the same spot four times – my memory is notoriously bad! I’ll try… and thanks for the “GG bliss” comment. 🙂

Portia – hah! His manager may have something to say about that… now if only he’d agree to a Granite Glen photo shoot… *stares dreamily into the distance*

CJS – do it!! Show us the results!

Gem – I hear you. Horses can be scary – but the scariest horse here is also the smallest horse here (Rob Roy!). Working on the pics as we speak…

RW – seriously blushing now. Nothing perfect here, I’m afraid. But I love that you say so… *hugs*

PG – will you send a pic of the final frames etc and I’ll post it up? Ta love!

    Dear BB,
Haven’t visited Granite Glen in 5 or 6 months, at least! So glad to see that life is good in your piece of heaven. I used to live in NYC, but hubby got a new job running a Shakespeare theater company, so we now live in a smaller, quieter part of the world.
Just have to tell ya; I have to girls 8 and 5 and I sometimes tell them stories of “Dash” and “Loopey”, 2 cattle dogs that live in the outback. I steal everything from you, but they think their momma is VERY clever.
    Peace and Happy New Year,
Leigh (glad to collect more story ideas!)

BB – what about a montage of ‘old stuff’? Some of your local wildlife?

At the Cancer Center the other day, there was a wildlife program on about a family who took on raising a baby roo. They’d made him a pouch and he slurped milk. He was darling, and the sweeping views of Queenland were quite breathtaking, and I kept thinking that you see this every single day. How lucky you are!
