It looks like it’s for holding vials or tubes of something upright. Is it something that would help with the cows? I’m thinking maybe artificial insemination? Maybe I’m just thinking that because I saw it done on “Jackass” last night. I don’t normally watch that show, but something made me pause in flipping through the stations when I saw that.

Maybe it is where the lizards store their tails when they drop them trying to excape a preditor. That way they can have some “decoy” tails if they ever need them.
