BrisVegas Fairy Wheel Delight…

The series below should be viewed to the beat of
You Spin Me Right Round Baby (Right Round)”
by the inimitable Dead or Alive.
Or Britney Spears.
Or Marilyn Manson (or whoever rings your bells!)
And those who have indicated they are afraid of heights should possibly look elsewhere…
or have a stiff scotch, sit down, buckle up, and hold on tight.
Who knows…
BrisVegas by “Fairy Wheel”
may yet cure your vertigo…

Wheeeee!

How exciting!! LOVE the shadow you can see in a couple of them!! Brisvegas is pretty beautiful, as far as cities go, I think.
And I spied QPAC there too… Mmmmmm…. QPAC!! lol

Wow. What a trip! One of the cities of the world I'd love to see but will have to settle for living vicariously through great pictures and commentary like yours. I'm off to read Dash's story now. I didn't realize he was a 'Heart Kid'. I need to go catch up now.

I lov the wheel, we had a great view of some fireworks from up there? I see you had your camera handy that day… (G, D, R)

    (LOL, word verification is SAFTE)

That's fantastic! But was that Mr. I sitting on a bench while wife and kids went twirling in the sky? Beautiful pictures, BB. I'm OK with heights as long as I have something to hold on to. Weird – it doesn't matter if it's glass, steel, or a flimsy rope. Yeah – it's way past my bedtime but I couldn't sleep – thought of more things to add to my pack list, or do it before you move list.

You have very brave children! Not sure I could have climbed into that thing but wow, your photographs are stunning. What a gorgeous city.
Like other who are traveling vicariously, I'm doing the same. Chances are slim to none that I'll ever get there but I sure do enjoy seeing your "neck of the woods". Such a gorgeous country you live in.
    Thanks for sharing it –

You are evil. EEEEEEVIL. When I get to Australia one day, I'll have to ride that. I am afraid of heights by the way, and will be well back from the door. But I'll just take pictures from waaaaaay back. Is the waaaaaaaaaaay back glass too? If it is, I'm not going up. Just decided.

  • Bush Babe

Debby – told ya! Eeeevvillllll… and I shall personally escort on the glass-enclosed 'fairy car'… heh.

Deb – this is only one glimpse of the gorgeousness of BrisVegas. You need to see it for yourself!!!

Mom L – Mr I decided a little 'time out' from kids and heights was in order. I suspect he quite enjoyed the momentary quiet and still…

RW – ummm… R,D,L?? Am I being obtuse… does that stand for Really Darned Lazy? Fireworks would have been awesome!!!

RDW – like I told Deb, BrisVegas is better in the flesh… hope you coped with Dash's dramas!

Alison – what's your favourite Brissy landmark (besides Qpac?)

That is the highest ferris wheel i've ever seen! I didn't realize that the cars where all closed in for a minute and was very nervous. I might of been sitting with Mr. I if i had been there. Serious height issues. Brisbane is a beautiful city. What is that really old looking building?

  • Leenie

WHEEE!!! is right! (I could even hear the music) Glad you weren't so taken up with the fun that you got some great reaction shots of the kids. What grins. BrisVegas is MUCH prettier that Las Vegas. I've been there a few times and with every visit it seems to become more Sodom and Gamorah. Brisbane looks like a fine, clean combination of old and new

Next time you go, can you take my kids?
Last time we were there, they begged to go up
And I had to explain that mummy doesn't 'do' heights
    (not sober anyway)
    Glad you guys had fun!

I hate ferris wheels at a fair, but I can handle one like this which is glass enclosed. I went on the big one in London several years ago and was okay with it (and definitely worth it to see the view)

I use to fly single-engine planes and funny, that didn't bother me, either. But make me climb up a step ladder? My heart lurches at the thought!

    Enjoyed the slideshow!

    Favourite Brissy landmark… Ummmmmmmm…..
Does the Power House count? It is one of my favourite buildings in Bris.. Although not because of the Power House history… Mainly because it is now an awesome arts hub lol!
