A welcome gift
I decided that while you are all being so good and patient with me as I work out this fancy-pants new blog, you deserve a little reward…
I am sharing the very photo that is my own desktop background (or wallpaper) for you to brighten up your screens. It’s the prickly pear flower that also features in the December page of my 2010 calendar… I love it as it’s easy to arrange my icons on – not too busy, but cheerful and bright.
All you do is click on the link below and choose the ‘download’ link.
The photo will then be available on your computer – the perfect size (I hope) for your desktop background.
(Choose control panel/appearance/change desktop background and then click on the new image file.)Enjoy!

I really like the layout and am particularly impressed that you changed to cool grey. Was I the only one who gets eye strain from a black background? Anyways, I kept reading and reading – and now am glad that you have updated. Awesome.

I love the photo, and it would be a stunning desktop, but I’m afraid my grandson tops your photo! I HAVE to have pictures of him on my desktop so I can see him every day now that he’s 1500 miles away!

Very cool! I changed the desktop wallpaper, now to see how long it stays like that… My husband is pretty notorious for changing them to pictures of trucks lol.
