Randomness Part One

Today I will be randomly posting up random photos, taken randomly during one day last week.

Random, random, random. (What a weird word!)

I will be adding brief explanations/excuses for each image.  And some photo nerd info for those who like that kind of stuff.  It’ll give you an idea what I take notice of during a work day here at Granite Glen.  And the way my brain works.  And let me warn you now … it’ll be very, very random.

Our job last week, if you recall, was sorting out which cows were pregnant and which were not – that process was definitely NOT random. It was quite scientific and considered.

But I am not.  So here we go.

Random shot number one.

I was closing a set of double-gates after letting my Dad and my kids out of the yards to take some cows back to their paddock.

I was thinking: ‘Wow, that’s amazing that my kids are grown-up enough to ride off on their own with their ‘pagi’ – a real little jackaroo and jillaroo!’…I got all warm and fuzzy and proud.

And then I noticed the green moss on the old gate and throught ‘Groovy‘.

So I took a photo.  Without checking any settings whatsoever, and ended up with a groovy shallow depth of field.

Totally Random.

Photo nerd info:
Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/5.3
Focal Length: 80 mm
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: No Flash

The End (of Randomness Part 1).
