Saving Santa
Did I freak you out a little yesterday? Sorry bout that… I DID try to warn you in the front page preview. If I mention Mortein in the future, you’ll know to beware!
This post is a lot nicer, I promise. Can you see what OTHER creature is trying to escape the frothing floodwaters here?
Tis a little Christmas beetle…
And Mr Incredible just couldn’t let Christmas go and drown now, could he?
He was a little sodden and steady after his ordeal…
The beetle I mean. Not my husband. (That comes later with all the flood fences he will need to put up again!)
Merry Christmas, Christmas Beetle!
Am pretty sure that means you will all get your presents okay this year.
You can thank us in the New Year…
😉
BB
PS Big rains are predicted this week – so we aren’t sure if where we will be or if I’ll be able to blog much.
I don’t get back, please all have a FABULOUS FESTIVE time.
I shall be having a chardonnay for y’all!

Well….cute, I guess, since he’s on your side of the screen. I kinda prefer spiders to beetles.
Wish we could get just a bit of your rain. We need it!
Enjoy your time away and a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!

Oh thank goodness!
On FB it looked (with my blah eyesight) like Mr I had ripped open his finger on fencing or something.
Yay for the Christmas Beetle….Mr I will get an extra orange in his stocking for his good work 😉

Ah, see, now I like these. First of all, they’re not spiders. Actually, I sent my favourite one, that would be Paul, a fan letter when I was only 8 and I put my mother’s lipstick on and sealed the envelope with a kiss. He never wrote back.
Wait a minute….different Beatles…

Is it really called a Christmas beetle? If so, the name is perfect! Actually, I think it looks like Christmas candy – anyone care to taste it? Oomphf, argggh, hack, no – I guess not!!!

He’s a beauty! I’d have saved him, too.
I hope the waters recede and y’all can have a proper Christmas without too much worry about livestock and such.

You get Christmas beetles. We get June bugs. Any beetle that arrived on Christmas here would have to wear a parka and mukluks (big fuzzy coat with hood and big fuzzy lined boots). Odd visual hmmm…
Stay high and dry up there on the hill with the cows and steers, BB. And have a wonderful Christmas!
