Done and dusted…

I am so tired I am numb, after a huge week this week.  We have four extras sleeping here tonight – all adorably exhausted as they melted into their beds.

But before I hit the hay and do some snoring of my own, I had to share a couple of moments from Violet’s birthday today.

Face painting book (and paints) a BIG hit with guest of honour and attendees…

Wide-eyed puppy, if you please!

How adorable is THIS little munchkin?

Awwww, Josie Baby!

A wide shot of the pool in some SERIOUS use.

(NB Poddies evicted for the day – will no doubt be relieved to have those pesky humans out tomorrow!).

Violet blowing candles out, under watchful eye of cousins and friends…

(It tasted better than it looked, okay?)

Our happy little ham.

Check out the fangs trying to break through there… two words: Fence. Posts.

Also thought I’d share part of the birthday card I made for Violet.  It’s what I do – make cards like this.  All shots were taken from our American trip earlier this year – and MOST have not yet been blogged.

I KNOW.  What on EARTH is going on?  Promise to get back into the American Fairy Tale soon.

THanks for all your gorgeous messages on yesterday’s post. I am printing them out and putting it with her birthday cards.

Violet – I am ALWAYS late with birthday greetings! I have several cards on my dining room table that need to be mailed out – er, should have been mailed – weeks ago! So, here’s a late Happy Birthday to you! You are such a lovely young lady now – even with missing teeth! – and I hope you celebrate your birthday every day this week.

    All the best wishes –

Happy Belated Birthday little one. Our baby has not so long ago turned seven, and shares exactly the same smile! As another avid horse-lover, I’ve a feeling these two have a heck of a lot in common.

Well looks like a heap of fun for lucky young ones. Funny now how kids are all dressed up to swim – “shades of the early 1900’s on Brighton Beach, UK”!!!
I guess I am showing my vintage???? ha ha – speedoes (males) and skimpy bikinis (females) – well at least on the beach you didn’t have the problem with sand where it was not wanted!
I think the two “poddies” would have been quite relieved to be put somewhere else for this party.
Great post and I am sure the birthday girl, Violet, ( even with the missing toothy pegs), had a wonderful day.
