Smiling at me…

Had to share this glimpse of blue sky…

bluesky_8182

Spotted before breakfast this morning, as the wind peeled back the cloud that has been looming over us for weeks.  Mowing is on my agenda today – a much better chore than the sandfly-ridden task that is re-building creek and river fencing.

If anyone has a good treatment for sandfly bites, please share.

🙂

Well you have kept your sense of humour, more than I can say.
Yesterday, I woke as reported to blue skies and a yellow thing, whatsitsname, appearing from over the Pacific.
Looked like a fresh egg yoke to me!
Then rain, blue skies, rain and so it went on. Anyhow major operation was successful, clothes ALL DRY!
Next full military operation is sheets!
Action stations will commence at 0300 hrs
on Thursday, supposedly will be FINE?????
Today a repetition! Presently blue above, 12.30pm.
Sand flies, way back, we were dosed in some strange stuff by grandmothers. It worked, contact your parents and Mr. “I” parents, they may recall.
The present stuff costs heaps, whether it works I dunno!!!
Maybe “Deb’s” suggestion hopefully will work. Thankfully Brisbane (oops Quacksville) is free of the bloody things.
I do wonder why the Almighty inflicted us with bloody mosquitoes and sand flies????
What actually is the purpose of these pests on planet Earth??
Great photos of the “roos”! Did you see the one on the website in some flooded area, hitching a ride yesterday on the floating rolled hay??? Bloody smart those roos.
    Cheers
    Colin.
