Holly Watch
The bets are being laid thick and fast here this morning.
With Patch already safely delivering eight live puppies, all eyes are turning to Holly, our black mare who is starting to show signs she is getting close to delivery date.
She was officially due November 30. But the residents here are betting that she will go into labour over the next three or four days.
Her udder is milking up, but as yet no sign of wax on her teats.
There is a lot of tail swishing and belly nipping going on, and the veins on her belly and extending to her upper back legs are quite prominent.
(Pleased you aren’t a pregnant mum around me? Heh.)
I will keep you posted. I have to admit, I am a little nervous after Holly colicked for half an hour a couple of weeks ago. And I keep hearing horror stories about issues after the foal arrives. Anything for a boring delivery and first few days please!
In the meantime… PUPPIES.
This one is NOT the runt of the litter – and one of only two girls.
You are welcome.

Keep the photos and updates coming. We’re on pins and needles here! LOL! Hoping Holly has a completely uneventful delivery and recovery.

You have me a little nervous now. Praying all will go well for Holly. Looks like the buppies (baby puppies!) are doing just fine.

I haven’t yet mentioned these to Paris (apparently ‘Salina checks your blog from school) but she does know the other new puppy’s name by heart, she told me yesterday.

Ohhh puppies and foals are so exciting! Our last foal arrived all by herself while we were away, I hope you have a straight forward foal arrival too!
Cheers,
Lynda.
