Dear Green …

Dear Green,

I think I love you.

I think this is probably the worst-kept secret in the world – but I had to say it out loud.

I don’t think I can ever, EVER tire of you…

You are not only the chosen colour of our business, but also a backdrop to most of my favourite moments, as I watch my kids grow as cattle and horse handlers.

You are the ‘icing in our ridges even during neighbourhood disputes…

And nothing flanks a stop sign quite like you…

You are elegantly understated whilst underscoring a ‘Halleluja’ moment…

But… and there is always a ‘but’…

A word about your mate…

steers_9648 eYou know, the one that accompanies our pasture erupting into your wonderful, smile-inducing colour…

That red-brown hue that likes to GLUE itself to everything…

grass_9802 eMost of all my car… generally within minutes of polishing it clean…

Yeah… I admit I am not ALWAYS it’s biggest fan.  It’s very hard to go to town incognito when I ALWAYS have the reddest car in the street… DESPITE washing it just before I left home…

Just sayin’…

But, like most relationships, I understand that I can’t be choosy – I have to take the good with the annoying.

I can see how you two – the shades of our good season – make quite a striking pair. Setting each other off, as you do.

Worth a photo or two even.

Thank goodness I still have one little car-washer at home…

Who even clicks her heels in joy (at the grass, not at the car washing) on my behalf!

😀

I think I can say for all – “You deserve this lovely rain and thus the reaping rewards” – all little Happy campers in your region of Australia.
Kermit, the Frog, and “Hughie” were a bit slow coming, but come they did.
However I wish the Kermits of this world would get out of the area for Sydney’s never ending “problem” – that second airport!
    Cheers and beers galore
    Colin
PS: I wonder and I hope I am not jumping the gun – where is 2015 February’s horrible weather?? 28/29 days of bloody sauna!

The shades of green are so soothing on the eyes. The reds are not my favorites either but blend well and give us that “happy OMG” feeling.Of course you need to tell us about Green.
