Wordless Window
Ever felt like you were facing the unknown?
And it looked intriguing, and a bit confronting, but all-in-all, compelling!
And on closer inspection, decided you wanted it!
But no matter how hard you tried…
You just couldn’t quite get at it.
And it would set you back on your heels…
So you looked hard to reassess.
And tried a different angle…
But it was no good. The bloody glass kept getting in the road.
And eventually, after the headache clears and the disappointment wanes…
You have another bloody go!
(Note to manufacturers: Reflective glass is very confusing for Mother Nature’s feathered souls.)

Fabulous feathered friends fotos!!!! I’m green with envy at your photo skills! Unfortunately I can’t count the number of feathered friends encounters we’ve had with the glass barriers in our house.
One day we came back from a trip to see red bird (Cardinal) head feathers stuck to one front window! Poor thing!
And I can’t begin to tell you how many times hummingbirds have forced other’s into the glass back door while warring over territorial rights to the feeder!
Birds are so entertaining! And we blessed to have such a variety of them around here!

What great shots! I hope your little feathered friend was okay. We frequently have birds crash into our living room windows. Usually it just takes one hit and they’ve either learned the lesson or are down for good and the cats have an extra meal. Once when I was a little girl, a hummingbird flew inside the door of the stairwell at our rented house and began beating against the window trying to get out. The window was high and we had a hard time getting close enough to chase it off. We tried waving brooms to guide it back down the stairs and toward the open door to no avail. So sad.

Andrea – no-one could ever accuse me of using too much Windex on my windows… all the credit goes to the glazing. That bird wanted a close-up with the hottie in the window.

I’m no expert, but it reminds me a little of the bluejays I’ve seen here and there. Not the same variety if it is a bluejay, but then, not an expert!
