The Bush

Calling on YOU… Help!

I have been having major banner dilemmas here at Bush Babe central…

Some of you have missed my old “cows on the horizon” banner…

So I have fiddled with fonts

And experimented with images…

And varying Feels and Looks

And am now thoroughly lost

Which one do YOU like?

Please let me know what you want to see, and I’ll try and get this blog into some sort of shape! That’s your cue to post a comment and give me your opinion NOW!

Thanks… see you in the pop-up box!
Love
BB
PS Does anyone else have the problem with Blogger where the image in the banner hangs over the right of the box??
Jeanie… please help again!
PS I’ve done it… fixed! For those using this Blogger template you need to alter the HTML
header-wrapper and make the width: 687px. It makes the image the correct size for the border. I need a cup of tea and a lie down now!

Ohh I like the first one and the last one.
Or the second one but with different writing. I think the frilly text kind of takes away from the image.

Just to be a pain in the rear, I like the first picture, with the cows, but I like the font and wording of the fifth banner.

It’s kind of like the cows are waiting for you to come home.

But you’ve seen my ‘banner’, so what do I know?

I think the spur idea is fun but it’s hard to read. If you maybe changed the color to black and white you would be able to get a text that would stick out better. But my favorite is the hill side with the cows with the thicker text!! THose are fun!! I love makine new headers/banners!! Fun!!

I like the first and the third ones. I like the fonts better I suppose. The fourth one is nice but I don’t think it really ‘matches’ your site

lol – I have no clue, I haven’t changed my banner in 100 years!! Hmmm, payment system idea just crossed my mind.

Will play with borders when I see you next week, if you can wait that long?

Thanks guys… hmmmm. Going for the third one today, but that might change. Keep feedback coming in – I’m open to ideas!!!

I, too, like the cattle, but like the spurs, as well. Like the font on next to last with the spurs.

    Great help, I am. :->

Alice – I KNOW!!!!! They do this stuff, her and Jeanie both, to make me feel foolish and inferior.

    *walks off muttering to self*

    *stops*

Oh. Wait. Maybe I’m wrong. I seem to remember feeling foolish and inferior before I ‘knew’ any Oz peoples….

Alice and Debby – cut it out!

It’s all right for you pair with your witty ways to swan around sans banner image, but I need it to cover all my shortcomings. And I cannot sleep when it’s hanging off one side of my page. Sure, my house looks like a bombs hit it, but that banner? I had to wrassle that sucker immediately.

My priorities are spot on like that!

I like the banner you’ve got right this minute – the cows on the horizon with the wording “Heading back to life on the land Aussie-style”.

  • alice

BB – witty ways? WITTY WAYS? Oh, such a snortable remark. (I speak for myself, Debby – not you!).

I am now in poutsville. I want for a banner.

  • Jenni

Hmmm…I see just two images in this post and none at the top today. Between the two banners I see (tree bark and spur) I like the spur best. I’ve liked that picture since you posted it a while back.

I’m feeling the need to change my banner and a lot of other things on my blog, but it takes so long for me to figure it all out and then I don’t feel like writing a post. I think I’d better get going on writing posts regularly again before I start messing around with layout and appearances.

I have shortcomings to be covered…AND my house currently looks like a bomb hit it as well. This is because my husband is in the midst of a home improvement project, and because I myself spent the day outside, cleaning my ornamental pond, weeding my strawberry patch, hauling all my indoor plants to the deck, and setting all the deck furniture out for the summer. Then I had a cookout, watched the birds, smelled the lilacs, and avoided cleaning my house.

    Right then.
Here I am, with drool on my chin, hair askew, and eyes crossed.

    Why?
Because I am trying to make a banner. Or a header image. Or whatever it is called.

And I am going completley insane because 3 hours later I have not been able to figure it out. I am not dumb. I am not stupid. I am not even computer illiterate, really.

I humbly beg help. If everyone else can do it, what element in my brain is missing?

    Yours in beggingness!
