Punk by Bush Babe
Ree had a pic of one of her handsome sons (she refers to her kids as ‘punks’) today, and did some ‘work’ on it. She asked for other’s ideas… this is my very quick effort. Here is her SOOC (straight out of camera) shot… just gorgeous!
To get this, I simply lightened in curves, upped the saturation overall and in blues and cyans, dropped it in reds and magentas, and then went back to curves and upped the contrast slightly. Not very technical, but such great eyes!!!
Or this… grayscaled, then copied eyes back onto monotone image?? Hmmmm. Too freaky??
What do you think? What would you have done?

cool editing. the second with the intense blue is wonderful. the last photo is rather scary. it reminds me of a book i read where kids were raised by adopted parents. what the parents didn’t know was that the kids were clones and were psychic. the kids all got together and started some kind of weird take-over-the-world plot or some such thing. all the kids were male, blond and had intense blue eyes.
hmmm…makes me wonder what ree and her muscular hubby are *really* up to on their farm.

Those are great!
Though the intense blue in the greyscale 3rd pic is a tad too bright.
Maybe the colour of the eyes from the first pic would look better on the 3rd?
What program do you use?

Sorry, should have said this is all Photoshop work. I use PS 7.0 but nowhere near to it’s full potential. I usually like things a bit ‘au natural’ (unlike that last pic!) but I reckon with a bit of toning down, that one would actually be pretty cool. I did them both in about 5 minutes (total, including uploading) and usually you’d take your time with something a cute as this…
