Puppy update… critter chaos and goodbyes!

I have held off posting this one, hoping that Ree’s Nell would be miraculously found over at PW. Cause I feel a little disrespectful posting a puppy piece when such dramas are unfolding. But I have had some requests for updates on our wee pooches, and … well you’ll see why the timing for this one had to be today at the end of the post! (Call me a tease!)

Remember our puppies?? This is kinda what what they looked like about 13 weeks ago… this was called The Grey One back then …all together? Oooohhhhh!

And this is what they look like now…

That’s Roley (the Grey One) and Pitch (the Black One) playing with their favourite toy, the red stuffed worm.

(Please forgive the dull photo colours, it has been raining! Yay for grass, not yay for photo saturations!)

Oh dear… red worm finally gave way after approximately three months of intense puppy love… Come here Pitch! Come here Roley!!

Good boys!

There is something lovely about puppy tongues. Except when they have been eating cow poo and then lick you – which is all the time! If you never take anything else from this site, take this: Never let a dog lick your face! Never, never, never!!!

Hello Roley… this is Debby’s favourite. He might be mine too. (Or as Deb calls him: Mine. She is very witty!).

Roley is a happy little chappy. Even if he is half grown up already. We have a bit of news about Roley. He is leaving Granite Glen. And taking up residence at SSB’s brother’s place – where four children wait to roll around with him, and their mother braces herself for certain puppy chaos.

Not that there is much for her to worry about. Not really. He’s a pretty good boy.

Most of the time! (Note to SIL A: boots are a bit tempting for this little canine rascal. )

Bye Roley… we’ll miss you and visit you lots!!!

Oh, and if Ree is visiting (c’mon, stop lurking Ree!) … this is Patch.

She went missing too.

For three days.

Then she came back to where we had lost her.

The story is here.

I do hope Ree’s Nell ‘does a Patch’.

Roley is a lucky little dog. Every puppy needs a kid, and he’s got a whole flock of his very own! I am glad that he will still be in the family, so to speak. I love the look on his little face.

Don’t you think that I am being very brave? Setting a good example for your children, and all of that.

Oh, jeepers…and I do feel bad about poor Nell. I think it would be far worse to not know the fate of a beloved pet than to know that s/he was dead.

I really feel for poor Ree! Our German Shepherd went missing for three days, and it was torture! Some one called animal control, though, and we were able to get him back.

Debby – sorry love. Meant to work up to it a bit more, but Dash is going for sleepover and Roley is going with him. I’ll do some updates for you!!! Pitch will miss his brother too…

Karen – thanks and yes, fingers still crossed for Ree.

    🙂

Bush Babe, just wanted to pop in and say hello. I have been lurking for a bit now and really enjoying your blog, and your lovely pictures. And my heart is breaking for Ree, too.

Keep up the great work, I love reading your blog!

Thanks also for the Aussie lingo translator, now this Yank doesn’t feel like such a Yobbo when she gets letters from her Aussie pen pal!

I’ve no idea how that comment ended up hear, but don’t answer me, I found it in the dictionary. Sad part: I’d looked it up in the dictionary first, didn’t see it, asked the question, and then went back to peruse the dictionary to look up ‘hoon’, from Jeanie’s post and there was strine before my very eyes. Cripes. More caffeine please.

Aww – all growed up now.

And can you please put the dog licking face advice in your sidebar – it so grosses me out after the education we had as kids!!
