No More Mystery!
OK. I’m back. I’m bad. I’m whacked. But I’m glad.

Mystery #1: Whereabouts of Bush Babe
Mystery #1: Whereabouts of Bush Babe
Apologies to my four regular readers who have wondered if I have been knocked off my perch or given up blogging altogether. Not so. I missed it way more that you missed me!! But lack of Internet opportunity (and general respect for my hosts over the past week, who do seem to prefer the front of my head to the back view as I huddle over a laptop) has seen me temporarily abandon my posts. Luckily I had a Nikon handy to appease my need to record almost everything in my life…
So brace yourselves people!

Here is just one of the places I have been with my crew…
So as I burrow through the eleventy hundred photos (thanks for this phrase Deb, it’s my current favourite and is driving SSB to distraction!), here is the very non-mysterious answer to my last very hurried, mid-travelling post and
Mystery # 2:
Of course it was AN ELEPHANT’s trunk.
From our humungous, elephant-sized visit to Australia Zoo…
You are all far to clever and I am delighted to have delurked a few of you in the process!! Welcome people… the winner however, was Melinn! Well done! You were just too quick. Many of you gave me a giggle with silly guesses – no-one’s elbows or knees SURELY look like this?
…
We all fell in love with the Oz Zoo elephants and got to feed this one – and she hardly snotted on us at all!
The lovely handler was very worried that TLW was too young to cope and would freak out… he doesn’t know my daughter very well!! She was completely delighted but calm as a cucumber… he was totally impressed and told SSB so!
…
Dash and TLW are still reeling from their OZ Zoo experience, and my son appears to have recovered from the revelation that Bindi couldn’t quite fit him into her schedule.
Seeing eleventy hundred scary crocs will do that for you.
Sorry… I’ll shut up now.
Off to edit. Lots. Of. Photos.
And wash. Lots. Of. Clothes.
See you when I’m a bit more bleary!

MORE bleary . . . Uhhhh- ehhh . . . ? Please esplaina da termnology, eh? Me thought ya’s might wanna be LESS bleary. (Okay. That was me. More bleary would be zonked out on the floor.) Love the pics (per usual) like crocs–in pictures–don’t really feel any desire to befriend ’em. (Or be their din-din. No disrespect to them, you understand–just want to keep all my limbs and other working parts together, etc.)
Glad you’re back and sharing you gifts and talents with the 20 or more of us who are your devoted followers. Smile!

I may not have asked where you were, but that is because I’m a regular reader…I figured you and SSB were taking your children to the big smoke to make up for the fact that you wouldn’t let Dash go on the school campout because he was too young.
There. Did I meet the requirements necessary to be considered a regular reader?
BTW, TLW looked like a little pixie in front of that elephant!

Great photos, you look like you all had a fantastic time 🙂

Elephant snot. Ew. Looks like a fun time, though!
Bush Babe (of Granite Glen)
PW – I will be more bleary after staring at a laptop screen fiddling with photos!! I wish to be less bleary, but it will not be so! Comprehende??
Deb – of course you are a regular – I hope so anyway!!! Don’t know if there’d be a BB blog without ya… TLW might look like a pixie, but that elephant knew who was in charge!!
Jayne – you are too kind. Thanks.
Karen – yes. yuk. The bucket of water to wash one’s slightly trunk-snotty hands was most welcome. Heh.
🙂

Me too – I don’t miss a post and have read your whole blog. When you look at the recent reader avatars over on the right – that’s me… I’m the siamese. Well, I’m not really, but she started blogging before I did, and she won the arm wrestle over the avatar.
I'm Julie
I’m SOOOOOOOO glad you’re back!
And crazy, insane envious that you visited the Australia Zoo. It was a sad day in this house when I had to tell the kids we lost Steve Irwin. I’ve promised them that some day – SOME DAY – we will visit the zoo.
Can’t wait to hear more about it!
