Bush bouquet… enough to melt yer heart!

Mr Incredible picked somethin’ a little special for me this morning.
A ‘bush bouquet’, if you will.
It was the result of three events colliding in my world:
1. It was freaking cold overnight
(down to minus 5 degrees C according to those game to venture outside)
2. I failed to mow the lawn this week
(a non-shocking circumstance for those in the know)
3. I left the sprinkler going
(don’t smack me, the pipe bursts if I turn the hose off without driving all the way – 7 km – to turn the pump off. And it was too cold and dark last night to contemplate!)
End result?

Ice, ice, baby!Winter has arrived at Granite Glen.
All hints for keeping warm will be welcomed with open arms!

Lovely photos. You are heading into winter and we are heading into summer. I want 60 degrees and a mild breeze all of the time.

open your arms and close your arms around your body. open your arms and close your arms around your body. repeat over and over again at a faster and faster pace.

you'll warm up in no time 😀

Holy cow. That's COLD. Mind you, it's not summer here yet. Unseasonably cold right now, but promising to warm up this weekend.

I love the "bouquet" though it reminds me of the Great Ice Storm of '98. We went 13 days without power (i.e. heat) and it knocked out our phone, telephone and hydro pole. I think I posted about it many moons ago.

"LOL" – I'm sorry, but it's SO good to see that somebody else is having a cold time, too! I'm just happy that the sun finally found the northen hemisphere…

Keeping warm? Stay inside, in front of the fireplace, with the laptop on your lap, and your beloved ones quite close. That helps! Good luck!

How about we swap places. It was 95F today. HOT. HUMID. And our lawn could use some of that sprinkler system you have right now! Great picture of iced flora. We could swap for just a day or two. You'd get warmed up. I'd get cooled down . . . ???

Ice is looking pretty good from over here in 95' Texas! GREAT picture of ice flower – never seen such a thing! Stay warm with that man of yours:)

I'm in Canada. It's June. I still light the woodstove at night….. Otherwise we freeze.

You know, I've always wanted to move to Australia, #1 'Cause it's gorgeous.
    #2 'Cause it's warm.

Never realized you got winter. Though I suspect it's not the same winter we get here; where I bury the front of my Dodge Caravan, (by front I mean up to the windshield) after going grocery shopping. For two hours.

My advice? Light a fire and cuddle up with the ones you love. Doesn't get any better than that.
