Go Roo!

Violet has a little (big) cousin called Roo.
They are great mates.
Roo had an accident recently, and burned herself pretty badly.
It gave us all a terrible fright and we have been sending all kinds of positive vibes her way and prayers heavenwards.
Something worked.
Not only has she been dubbed ‘the toughest kid ever’ by hospital staff, but has now been given a reprieve from skin grafts by doctors, who are reportedly quite astounded at her little body’s capacity for recovery.
I cannot begin to tell you how delighted we all are.
Gentle hugs to you, Roo.
(and to your worried Ma and Pa too)
Go, little champ!

I am glad to hear the update on Roo. I've wondered but been afraid to ask in case you simply were unable to talk about it. Go Roo.

Wow, it's true, they DO make 'em tough in Oz. Glad to hear little Roo is doing well. I've heard that Down Under, they use something called Manuka honey to treat burns. I've talked to some of my nurse friends here about that.

Tell Roo we send greetings all the way from Montreal. It's cold and buggy right now, but we're hoping to be in the lake soon enough!

My prayers are with her and her family. God made our bodies so absolutely amazingly able to mend itself when we take care of it. That's why children heal so quickly….they haven't abused their systems yet! I'm so thankful that she is doing well and will not have to undergo the grafts at this point. God Bless, Roo!!!!
