Weekend Weather & sunsets

I know you are all waiting breathlessly for my Romance Story Part Two (read here for Part One if you missed it!) but it’s Weekend Weather time.  So instead of Romance… you get…SUNSETS!

There were snapped as I drove home from our little town this week – this shot is showing the gorgeous dry-brushed sky looking from the southern road into our town…

(look carefully and you can see the road winding into the blackness at the bottom of the shot).
And this was snapped quickly as I stopped beside the road a couple of kilometres down the highway…

… as a farmer did some last-minute lucerne work (lights of tractor at bottom of shot).

The sunsets are still pretty early – before 5.30pm – times for moon and sun activity shared here.

The last week has been a tad nippy with a couple of cracker frosts – and the outlook for the week is still fairly cool although my little potted fig trees might be hoping that ‘slight’ frost risk in Wednesday and Thursday don’t turn into anything nasty.  They aren’t happy, my figs, not happy at all!

So how is it where you are?

Steamy? Stormy? Chilly? Cheesed-off? Do share… don’t forget to leave your general location with your report – it’s fun to pinpoint the contrasting world weather!

I’m so glad you take time to stop your vehicle to catch sunsets for us. And what beauties they are!

It’s also fun to hear how the weather is so different on the other side of the world. Here we have more hot winds, but the fire is out. Best wishes for your fig trees. They’d never survive a winter here.

Here in northern NJ USA we’re hot and humid. Highs are in the upper 80’s & lower 90’s. Nights are in the mid-60’s.

i love sunsets. you should come to the prairies of north america to see a sunset of immensity.

as to the weather, hey, it didn’t rain in saskatoon today. i think that’s the first time in a week it hasn’t rained in a 24 hour period. i’m pretty sure it was a nice day. however, instead of going out to shell lake (about an hour away), i stayed home and had some alone time. i had the air conditioner going and that kept me comfortable.

Yesterday we had 94F with a heat index of 112 here in SW Iowa, but a thunderstorm during the night cooled things off. It’s just 81F now at 11am. We’re looking at mid-80s and scattered T-storms for the next few days. Wish we could share the rain with those of you who are desperate for some!!

BB – I loved your sunsets!!

    Gorgeous shots BB!
The weather here is teasing us. It’s been almost spring like during the day; but the temperature plummets in the evenings.
Here are out temps for the coming week:
    Mon: 9 – 26 (no rain)
    Tues: 8 – 23 (no rain)
    Wed: 9 – 25 (no rain)
    Thurs: 11 – 24 (no rain)
    Fri: 13 – 24 (no rain)

    Forecaster summary for Eastern Cape:
Fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-westerly.

So it looks to be a lovely week!
