Water, water – nowhere now!

As I come down from my little flurry of activity this week (lots of meetings and hostessing going on – and more chardonnay than yoga, as forecast in this post) I noticed that my friend, The Pioneer Woman is having another little Photo Assignment (could someone please pick up that name I just dropped?  And does one published comment make a famous blogger one’s ‘friend’? An-y-way...)

Ree’s theme this week is Water.  And I do adore water.  As has been WELL documented here on this very blog.

And as we endure a (normal) dry Winter here at Granite Glen, and the landscape hues fade to crispy sepia, I thought I might share some of the images that reflect (watch you don’t trip over the puns on the way through) my thirst (sorry) for wet stuff.

Dash and Violet stunned at the vision of water flowing under the big concrete bridge in a paddock near home.  I loved the reflection and the head scratch!

A random shot taken on holidays – a Dad and son footprint on a timber walkway at the beach.  Totally says Holiday to me.

A shot taken seconds earlier – as our daughter ran joyously through the spouts at the brand new water playground at Hervey Bay. Sheer delight!

And for something COMPLETELY different…

A close-up of some weaner bulls at the water trough – I love, love, love that these guys look like they are gossiping at the water cooler in the school hallway…

“Didya see that heifer with the really long tail over there?”

“Yeah man… hot AS!”

“Dunno, heard her mother’s a real COW…”

No.  I have NOT had too many chardonnays tonight.  Why do you ask?

🙂

PS Not sure what of these I am entering at PW’s – which one do you like?
