Checking in quickly…

A very quick post today – am in the middle of baking for about 1400 bike riders who will be cycling their way through our part of the world tomorrow. (Okay, am not SINGLE-HANDEDLY baking for the two-wheeled hordes but I am contributing about 50 serves of morning tea. I hope they are not expecting super-healthy from me – mudcake muffins are sending some delicious aromas through the house as I type this!).

Am also preparing a meal for our little school (of my famous sausage rolls).  Plus minced corned meat for sandwiches.  It’s a busy kitchen here today, baby…

Speaking of babies, two of these little rascals found a new home yesterday…

Two little girls went off with a vet student/assistant after she fell in love with them, while visiting GG (to operate on Cherokee again).

Our darling chestnut warrior had a carcinoma taken off his eyeball a couple of months back – but it came back with a vengeance, so the poor darling had to go under anaesthetic again.  I wasn’t here to document the event this time, but I believe he was slightly less ornary than last time!

Gotta go – some other updates I need to post here soon, but my oven timer is calling out to me right now!

Til then

🙂

PS Bill, Sal, Terri and Gem – email me at bushbabeaustralia at gmail dot com to let me know which print you’d like for your winning comment and where I should send it to! Thanks…

PPS Both recipes mentioned here are available in this little cookbook: The Goodwill Gourmet – now available through our school P&C for $10. (Contact me if you’d like to purchase one.  Funds raised go to helping our kids go on school camp.)
