The Original Blind Side
Well you asked for it…
And I am so glad you did…
Seeing our marvellous dairy cow with her little adoptee, it made me put things back into perspective again. I was quite down after this happened, busily blaming myself for not keeping the little poddy named Lottie alive… and then I realised. We did our best. We tried. She got so many cuddles. And as Dad noted: she may have had something really physically wrong inside – maybe even a hole in the heart. Who knows?
All I know for sure is that this guy,who only a couple of weeks ago looked like this:
…is now thriving with his new Mama and is turning into quite the little puddin’…
I remembered how amazing is our old dairy cow who adores each little arrival as if it is her own. Despite her one missing eye, and her clear inability to distinguish colour, she proves she is not just all udder. Heh. That heart must take up a good portion of her body too.
Thanks for making me go out into our house paddock and take these photos.
You guys always seem to know what’s best… what would I do without you?

It was her ‘dairy name’ when we got her – I suppose the ‘BAY’ is the stud name and ‘Lulic’ (which is my version of the spelling as we never got papers for her) her own name. It’s such a pretty name for a darling old cow!
