Weather or not I like it
I have a meeting tomorrow. My life seems to by chock-full of meetings at the moment… sadly I am not really a ‘meeting’ kinda girl. I dislike formality and formats. I like free-form conversations and brain-storming (as opposed to brain explosions, which I tend to experience randomly and to the detriment of those standing too close).
The annoying thing about this meeting is that it is in Brisbane (again) – so I am packing for another freakily fast trip to the Big Smoke. Yes, the same place my husband just arrived back from – the stars just aren’t QUITE aligning for us this week. He arrived home yesterday and is heading the opposite dircetion in the truck to deliver some bulls this morning, with the kids on board. Too much driving going on…
In not unrelated news, I spent a couple of hours cleaning the Prado yesterday – as anyone who has driven to visit us will attest, we have red dust that permeates EVERY crevice of a vehicle…
And the wet version of it ain’t much nicer…
Or easy to remove.
The poor old Prado is clean now however… painstakingly hosed and scrubbed and rinsed and vaccuumed and wiped… three hours of my life I will never see again.
It looks nice… but then it rained. And you know I love rain… but a big part of me just wants to keep that car in the shed so it won’t get dirty. *sigh* Basically I am the only person who will get to admire it in its pristine state.
Anyway, shortly I shall say goodbye to this pair of sweethearts…
And this handsome lad…
And this lunatic…
I am hoping to see someone a bit special this trip…
I don’t want to jinx it though, so will report back when I complete the 1000km round trip, okay?
See you when I get home.
See you when my car is filthy again.
-ooooooo-
How about sharing the current state of YOUR car with me?
Is it filthy?
Is it immaculate?
And can you blame the weather for the result?

Good luck on that trip and those meetings! Hope it goes the way you are hoping. So, so, sorry about the rain and the mud after ALL THAT WORK! Maybe the next vehicle should be rusty red? Glad to see the little orphan is looking so big and shiny.

My car is old. We don’t worry so much about whether it is clean or not. It is tidy, except for a couple pop bottles rolling around on the floor of the back seat. And a 23 page speech on the back seat. And a gum packet on the front floor. Nope can’t blame the weather which neither speaks nor chews gum or swings soft drinks.

My car is kind of dirty, it did rain last night and some of the dust is gone but the dirt is still there.
have a safe trip. are cattle there hauled in stock trailers or trucks?

My car is a broomstick gathering cobwebs behind the shed door.

My car is perfect for the country, which is to say that it’s a bit dirty. It’s mostly from a border collie that has his own seat (covered with a blanket) in back, but whose master (my husband) allows to sit up front. So there’s fur and dirt and it’s been awhile since it’s been scrubbed.
Safe journeys to you. See you soon!

Are you kidding? I drive a white mini-van, live on a dirt road, and have four kids and dogs. OF COURSE it’s filthy. It gets cleaned and vacuumed out every two or three weeks, but bathed a lot less often.
I hate meetings too. Something happens to people’s abilities to make decisions when they’re gathered in groups. Even the simplest decisions take forever.

My car can get clean – and within a day has a fine sheen on the windscreen (often with paw prints tracking across it)

My car needs a bath, but it is really cold here and I don’t want the locks to freeze up. Also, lots of music CDs floating around, and applications for potential tenants, and it needs to be vacuumed, and… Well I guess it is pretty much a mess.

It snowed here last week and between that, the de-icer crap that they put on the roads and all the rain lately, my poor truck is trashed. It’s supposed to be a navy blue but right now it’s kind of a gray-ish color with some nice brown (dirt) accents. The inside isn’t so dirty, but it’s full of coats, gloves, boots, ear warmers, etc. just in case I get stuck some where and have to walk. It’s driving me bonkers, but such is life this time of year.
