Summer snap – mango baby
This time of year is notoriously hot and hectic here – not only preparing for Christmas (and the busy-ness of school holidays) but also innoculating calves. So I am going to share a few one-shot posts here as I juggle visitors, business and blogging.
And I am christening them Summer Snaps. Feel free to join in if you like the idea (and link in comments below to your one-photo blog post).
Today’s Summer Snap was shot yesterday, with the eight-month-old baby son of our visitors.
His very first taste of a juicy mango seed. A roaring success, by the looks!
Mango =Summer to me!
What equals Summer to you?

Here in the San Francisco Bay Area summer means down filled jackets in July and shorts for a couple hours at midday in October. Corn on the cob drops in price so we can actually afford to eat it. Cherries cost a fortune and are worth every single nickel; they taste unbelievably delicious for about three weeks and all over the house and car pits accumulate. Summer …

I love the contrast of the aqua suit and the orange mango… Great shot! My cousin has a mango farm, and she usually sends down a few cartons to see us through the holidays. Otherwise I’s have to choke, paying retail. They are sooo expensive.

oh Summer how I miss you!! Says she who has been wearing her slippers and jeans and jumper since Summer began… I do hope you return before Christmas, it would be so nice to see you and to put the slippers away and get out our swimmers too!!! Not to mention to get the washing dry and open the windows and doors! Lovely Summer snap tho! 😉
…flip side is that the rain has been welcomed by graziers.

All squishy and slippery and soo…soo sweet! Love a mango and a quiet contented child! Squishing out between the little fingers and juice running down the arms. Soo…soo represents an Aussie Summer day!
Love it! Can hear my childhood now…..
