CALENDARS

I thought long and hard about getting more of my 2013 calendars printed … and while it was nice to think I’d sold out so quickly, I had a few disappointed long-time customers (and some keen new ones) chasing them, so I gave in.  It’s now in reprint (just a small run) and will be available via me or the Monto Stockman’s Store.

THE STASH IS GONE

Mr Incredible has shaved.

Actually, after his glorious win in the Mo’ Man awards on Tuesday, I think he decided he quite liked his moustache.  And while I think he DID look like a blonde Tom Selleck, I have to say I am not really a mo’ fan.  Really, to be frank, they are not easy to kiss. Just sayin’…

Also, he has just headed off to BrisVegas to take in the cricket with some mates.  I think he might have copped a serious ribbing if the facial hair had stayed! I do encourage him to do these things, cause he works so hard out here and really never gets to see his old city friends.

It’ll do him good (although I hope the hangover isn’t too bad!)  Have fun honey!

SHE WHO IS NEVER SICK

I don’t get sick.  Well hardly ever.  Really, the last time I was sick I had my gall bladder removed.  I like it to be serious if I’m gonna be bedridden.

But for the last two days I have been quite off-colour. The thing that really tipped my family off that I was not 100% healthy was my complete lack of appetite.  I am a foodie – I LOVE food.

I still managed to get my current calendar orders posted out (tick!) but have been impersonating a walking zombie.  I absolutely hate sleeping during the day (which I probably should have) but we have a little poddy to feed (pics soon) four times a day, and people in my house continue to insist on dirtying clothes and crockery.  So you know, I did rest sporadically, but a woman’s work in the bush is never really done!

Anyhoo, I found this pic while fiddling on the computer last night and I actually had a hunger pang.

Good news!  Apparently I am not dying. 😉

These pics were taken soon after I got my 50mm lense last year.  I heart this lens.

And this salad is looking quite tempting…

Smoked salmon pasta… mmmm… maybe a bit rich yet, but tempting!

Not up for fries either, but how groovy do these look in their little bucket? Served with garlic aoli if memory serves me.

FRIENDS IN NEED

As I have mentioned before, a number of friends are facing tough times at the moment.  You know how the people who LEAST deserve to have terrible things happen, seem to endure one darned thing after another? Yeah that.  Among this group is my darling sister.

Life is handing her some very sour lemons at the moment – and while she is working hard at turning them into lemonade (or as my friend Jenny might say) lemon vodkas, I wanted to share something to brighten her day.  And if your day needs brightening, I am sure she will be happy to share…

Have a bubblegum, rainbow ice-cream pick-me-up on me!
